1 X transotype Bleedproof Marker pad

Good marker pad but…
I’ve bought these for years to use in idea session to capture ideas (pen and marker) but sadly they’ve made the backing board thinner so the whole pad is now flimsy. Shame. Pad is great otherwise

great professional paper
a few things to note about this paper, first off 'bleedproof' is a bad name as markers will bleed through the paper a little due to how thin it is, (i recommend taking the paper off the pad before colouring to avoid ruining the lower pieces, alternatively you can use a sheet of greaseproof parchment or thick paper between pages). bleedproof for this paper means the markers don't run and spread out much on the paper, making it ideal for line work. ive tested the paper with expensive copics and cheap promarkers and it works very well for both in blending and block colour. secondly it should be noted that the colours will have a white speckle if only lightly applied in a single coat, again because of its antibleeding treatment. third, you can only use one side of the paper 'the dull side' as the shiny side keeps the markers from bleeding through and isn't an ideal surface to draw on.all in all this paper is very good for final pieces and detailed renders but you wouldn't want to waste the paper sketching due to its price per sheet and specialised use.

Great for colour illustrations if used correctly
I've been using this for a number of years now and always got on well with it. I usually sketch my illustrations out on a seperate rough piece of paper first, then with my light-tracer, use a sheet of this to trace my line art onto, then colour in with copic markers.I have always found it very easy to colour / blend on, it is very white and the saturation levels are very high. This is NOT the kind of paper you want to be drawing / sketching / rubbing out on because of its low weight. I use it for my final colour work and it really shows up the true vibrance of my marker pens.I am baffled why some reviewer's marked it down because it wasnt ideal to do pencil drawing on, or because they couldnt draw on the reverse side.... This is marker paper not sketching paper. I also noted a few claming it poor for blending on when that is really its strong suit.I am no master artist but have attached one of my illustrations, which will hopefully show you what can be acheived with this paper and copic markers and airbrush.

Good for me, but not for everyone.
There is one thing I think anyone buying this needs to be aware of. The paper is very flimsy and thin, and is not suited for blending very well, so if you want to use this to blend colours and suchlike, it's not very good to use. However, if you wish to sketch things out or not blend then you should be fine, this paper is good for the purpose I use it for and I use it in combination with thicker paper, so therefore I am fine with the product, but for proper finished pieces this paper isn't suitable as it just won't last long.

used with Copic markers they do a pretty good job
This used to be a Copic sketchbook, but it seems the Copic licensing has expired and not been renewed (see image) so the original manufacturer has branded it them themselves . It is the same paper and same results. However, as with the original copic sketchbook, used with Copic markers they do a pretty good job, I have had a little bit of bleed with heavy marketing. Just thought I would do a quick review to put a few peoples mind at ease due to the lack of Copic branding.

Amazing! But does bleed a little.
Great for using promarkers on. But if you overwork the paper when blending the colours it does bleed into the next page a little.I just put a piece of paper under the sheet I'm working on & it's great.

Good paper, but still does bleed through
Good paper for Copics, however, compared to Copic's own Paper Selection PM Paper, it does bleed through on spots where you lay down a lot more ink.

Good for felt and ink
Nice with Copic and Ink pens. Does not bleed on the page, however it does show through to the back of the sheet so this is one sided use paper. Nice and smooth
