Sistema BAKE IT Food Storage Container + Measuring Cup | 3.25 L Food Pantry Storage Container | BPA-Free | White/Clear | 1 Count

I originally spent £35 on the UPKOCH 10 KG container which was a mistake. That was made of cheap, brittle plastic, poorly packaged by the chinese manufacturer, fulfilled by Amazon but did not make the journey to me without significant damage. Although this Sistema is smaller, it does hold a full 1.5Kg bag of flour comfortably with room to spare AND you get a measuring cup that has the American "Cups" and the European ml's quantity markers. It is made out of really tough, clear polypropylene and the lid is so secure you can turn it upside down and shake it while it is full of flour. It is perfect for baking. The lid comes off completely with two clips that hold it tight but are easy to clip and unclip. You then have the entire top cavity to scoop out the flour with the provided cup. Nice and easy without getting flour everywhere. The handle is moulded into the shape itself and it is easy to pick up with one hand. It doesn't place too much strain on arthritic thumbs! The plastic is non-slip and I can pick up a container with 1.5Kg of flour with one WET hand and do it easily. I can even shake it with wet hands and it still grips. Getting them down from higher shelves will be super easy. This is the 3.25l version but they also do a 2.4l which I think has the same footprint but this 3.25l version is just taller by a few cm. The shorter one would probaly be OK for 1Kg bags of flour instead of 1.5Kg that easily fits in the larger version. Apart from flour, these containers would be ideal for rice, cereals or just about any other bulk, loose ingredient. This is a great product that doesn't take up too much counter space. Unless you are baking all day, every day you probably don't need anything bigger. For small kitchens like mine, this is the ideal size. I'm going to buy another, for wholemeal flour. I think they're underpriced. Get one while you can!

I use these Sistema 3.25L containers for storing flour and rice. This container is made of good quality plastic, seals well with twin clips and is large enough to hold a large (1.5kg) bag of flour. It features moulded hand grips which make it easy to hold even when the container is full. It also comes with a handy measuring cup which is a nice extra. The containers are designed to stack and they do this well and help keep the kitchen tidy. A very good value and robust product very much recommended.

My wife is so incredibly pleased with my purchase of three of these containers in which to store my flour. Previously I was having to maintain three separate piles of flour in my baking cupboard after I'd discarded the bags: one for plain white, one for strong white, and one for self-raising. Believe me when I say this presented its fair share of challenges. Having to distinguish on a near-daily basis between these three musketeers of white flour which essentially look identical was almost impossible. I ended up refining my tastes such that I could tell the subtle flavour difference of the self-raising flour within a few mouthfuls but figuring out which was the plain white versus the strong white flour what a whole different kettle of fish (or spoonful of flour). I ended up having to make a paste with a controlled amount of each flour and water (once I'd ruled out self-raising), mixed each a controlled amount, then attempted to stretch each blob against a ruler - with the longer-stretching fellow being the strong white due to its higher gluten content. With the problem of figuring out which was which almost solved, it remained to ensure they did not mix. This was easier said than done because piles of flour are anything but stable and they tend to spread, especially when attempting to shovel them into my mixing bowl. This is a problem I never really solved. Then there was the rats. At first I was able to shoo them away with a broom, but after breeding they became so numerous that they rapidly ate through my cupboard flour heaps and made their way into the dog food. They kept us awake with their squeaking and gnawing and the only solution was to mix an amount of poison (below the danger threshold for humans) into the piles of flour. DO NOT DO THIS. Anyway, I now have containers in which to store my flour and these fit the bill perfectly. I don't know why I persisted with the cupboard flour piles as long as I did - in retrospect it was folly.

Sturdily built. The pair of strong long clips on the lid are very easy to use, and the vertical finger grooves towards one side of the body of the container makes it very easy to handle when full and quite heavy. Though there is a somewhat smaller sized container, which is just as good, I get the larger one mostly as it is big enough to take nearly all normal bags of e.g. flour (I have four just for bread making), porridge oats, muesli, sugar etc. The plastic measuring jug is also very handy, especially a it shows fractions of a 'cup' on one side, which I otherwise have no measure for (American bread recipes seem to use nothing else). And it makes a fine scoop for anything.

Having already purchased one and being very satisfied with it, I've decided to order two more. I haven't used them yet but as soon as I open the packaging I notice that a measuring cup is missing from one of them. This is the third time either a wrong or an incomplete item has been delivered from Amazon in the past two months. Again I will keep the product as I'm happy with the quality and I can't face the hassle of returning it but it'd be appreciated if the sellers paid more attention to the items they are sending out. As for the product itself, it is airtight and sturdy, good value for money, overall a great purchase.

I love these storage containers & use them for storing various types of flour but they could be used to store many different things. I have had a problem with flour mites in the past so now under the advice of Google I pop a newly bought bag of flour in my freezer (mine can end up in there a few weeks but I think the advice is 48hrs), then once out I allow it to adjust to room temperature & into the KLIP IT. No such problems since thankfully! The measuring cup that comes with it is handy & measures both in cups & mls. Although as I so far own 4 of the 3.25 litre (which easily holds a 2kg bag of flour) & 1 of the 2.4 litre, I have 5 of them stacked on top of each other. Still they come with it & can be used to scoop your stored ingredients out of the container. At the moment I am storing my flour in its bag until I label the containers but once I get around to this I will return the scoop to each container for ease. I've bought 4 of these in total adding as time has gone on so I think that speaks volumes. You can pick them up at a fab price here on amazon too making them an even better product as the price is fab!

I bake regularly and have bought several of these to keep my various flours in. I had noticed that many were taking on some of the strong flavours from my store cupboard (e.g. an out of date opened bar of chocolate lurking at the back, which permeated everything - not nice). This container has solved that: my flours are now odour free, other than their natural smell. It also solves the problem of split flour bags. Although pricey, the container is very good quality; the clips work perfectly, unlike cheaper brands I've had, which can be a pain to "snap on". The mini scoop is really handy too, saves messing around dipping in spoons. It is easily big enough for a 1.5kg bag of flour with some room to spare. I've even bought some of the smaller ones for my sugars. Sounds corny - but it does actually make baking that much more enjoyable.

Done a lot researching trying to find the right size for my flour and rice, end up got the top 3 biggest Sistema containers 1.56L 2.4L 3.25L. Actually bought the 1.56L hoping for 1.5KG wholemeal flour, 2.4L for my leftovers strong white flour, NO!! Both not fitted! Then bought the biggest 3.25L hoping for 3KG flour, Excited wash then dry with kitchen roll straightaway after received, NO!! no chance fits 3KG flour, even with this 3.25L, looks like still have 1/3 left in the bag. So conclusion, 1.56L fits1KG, 2.4L fits 1.5KG not fit with handy measure cup, 3.25L fits the 1.5KG rice or flour with the cup no problem, no chance for 3KG anything!!! Not normally do any details review, just hope this review can helping someone like me searching for the “size” of how much the container can actually store never can possible found an answer. Lastly I rather containers £1 off sell without the cup, then a pound paid if you needed one, otherwise ended up too many measuring cups.

I love these containers! They hold quite a bit of what I put int hem but they are easily stored in a kitchen cabinet. These are great for those mixes that you don't buy TONS of (i.e., Bisquick, cornbread mix, etc.) and let's you see when you are getting low. I highly recommend these!!

I purchased this container to store flour in it, Sistema containers are well made, easy to use and it’s a purchase one would usually not regret. The cup that comes with the container is really handy, No need to look for a cup or scoop. I just hope they make a size bigger, a full 2kg bag of flour does not fit in it with the cup. I had to keep some flour behind in the bag to allow space for cup. Overall I am still happy with this purchase.

I have a set of clip-lid containers which were great, until the clips began breaking off the lids -- when this container arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the clips aren't attached to the lid, but are an actual hinge mechanism, attaching to the body of the container. I don't see any potential point of failure with this design, as there's no repeated bending/weakening as was with the other kind. I was looking for a container to hold the Idahoan Real Mashed Potatoes, Gable Carton, Premium, 52 Ounce I often buy. The package is just a huge cardboard milk carton, so I wanted something to keep everything fresh. I spent quite a bit of time searching for a container that would be the right size, and it turns out this container for flour is as though custom made. A freshly opened carton fits completely inside, and a measuring cup will wiggle in snugly too. Perfect. And this even comes with a nice little measuring cup, that is perfectly sized to fit even into the narrower side of the container that is used as the handle -- the container is tapered on one side, and even with my small hands it is easy to handle, even when full. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase -- so much so that I've just put the whole 9-piece set ( Sistema Klip It Shrinkwrapped Bakery Set ) in my Save for Later cart, and look forward to buying it once the holidays settle down. If simple, functional, and well made is something that appeals to you, I don't believe you'll be disappointed in this product -- it's great. :O)
