Deck Plus Deck Screws, #8 x 1-1/4in, 930 Pack, Brown, Epoxy

I’m not currently building a deck but I’ve m assembling things and fleshing out my garage with 2x4’s and other wood and I became tired of screws that stripped, snapped, etc because they were poorly made. These screws are awesome!!! I’ve actually reused some three times (I keep them separate from new) as my space evolved or I needed a jig or dead man. They’ve worked just as well the third time as the first time. I’ve had no failures, no stripping and I hugely recommend. It came with its own torx bit and I love using a torque vs a Philips. I did find that the screw can be aggressive so pilot holes can smooth it out to prevent wood from cracking depending on what you’re screwing into. I’m a huge fan and I won’t be going back to cheap screws again.

My husband used these to put up the fence in our backyard and they worked perfectly. The star/Torx drive made driving them in smooth with no stripping, and the epoxy coating gives extra peace of mind for outdoor use. At first, we were a little worried because the box looked half empty, but don’t be alarmed — it really is a 5 lb box. We weighed it ourselves and it came out exactly right.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Cheaper than I can buy locally and the product is the exact same. I use these screws in a lot of projects and have never had any issues with them.

These hillman deck screws worked great. Not only did I get a good deal here on Amazon but they were delivered promptly and work flawlessly. I purchased them to build a new 120' section of dividing fence between my neighbor and I. They drove through the posts and pickets like a hot knife through butter. I highly recommend these screws

These screws last about 15 years, the paint starts to erode.

Been using them for years and the certainly last and hold tightly. The T-20 & T-25 screw heads are almost impossible to accidently strip out.

What can I say? Best value for a 5 pound box I could find. They work. It's not rocket science. I'd buy again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.
