This is the Ultimate Controller!
This is the best controller I ever had.I play competitive fighting games (Tekken 8) and FPS.This pad it's just perfect for both.Solid build, weights the right amount. The D-pad is extremely responsive, and buttons are just perfect (although may feel a bit small at first (especially if coming from a PS5 controller)I play PS5 and PC and this pad works great on both, wired and via Bluetooth (with the provided dongle). The modular design of the pad allows for customisable layout of buttons, dpad and thumbsticks. Also has 4 back paddles, tournament safety buttons and the hot keys can be configured through software via pc.This is absolutely the ultimate controller and beats hands down the PS5 pad. Also battery life is long...very long.Comes with a neat carry case with the extra bits and screw driver and a very long, quality USB cable (3m).

Make sure you own a PC
Let me explain my title; this is one of the very first third party officially licences PS5 controllers, however Victrix nor PDP have failed to develop a native PlayStation app. So unless you own a PC the controller will remain dumb - as in you can’t programme any of the additional buttons, save profiles etc. They don’t make this clear in the product page, It was then that I find out you can’t use the companion app to set up the programmable features if you don’t have a PC. I’m a Mac nerd so the controller was useless to me - sent back for a full refund.I did use it and found the rear button to be in a really awkward place that resulted in accidental triggering of them from one’s natural grip of the controller. The swapping out of modules was neat, but again, useless without the companion app.Personally I found PDP to be pretty useless too. I sent in to them a simple question, where’s the PlayStaion app, and before they’d answer me they wanted all of my personal details, which I refused to give them. Upon complaining I got my answer - there isn’t one. Overall pretty disappointing experience all round.

It's good
Being able to easily switch the position of the controls is a great feature, one I've never seen before. I haven’t tried it on pc but it's excellent on ps5

Good controller with a couple of flaws
I've been using this controller for many months now. I picked it because I wanted a controller with an Xbox layout with well positioned rear buttons. In the time I've been using it I've had no issues with connectivity, latency has been more than adequate for my needs and so far no mechanical issues. One of the downsides is the feel of the controller, it feels cheap. I'm used to using an Xbox elite controller or the standard PS5 controller and this feels like a toy in comparison. I'm not going to mark it down for that as so far it's been solid and the feel doesn't affect its function, it's just an observation. You don't get haptic feedback with the PS5 or the ability to switch the console on but this isn't a limitation of the controller, it's a restriction imposed by Sony. It's just something to be aware of. Arguably the lack of vibration can make longer sessions more comfortable. The only thing I am marking it down for is the trigger lock. To me it's really poorly implemented, there is a clutch which allows you to lock it at a shorter stroke but it's so easy to catch the clutch release on the back that I find I'm having to reset it mid game regularly, it only takes you to brush your fingers over it and it can release. I often leave it at full stroke just to avoid the hassle

Not bad
The media could not be loaded. Seems good so far, love the modularity, much less than a scuf price wise, only thing ive noticed is as others have said it won't turn the console on which is annoying, I didnt use it for long but when doing fast combination presses with the trigger stops on the back for short-press, seemed like I had to slam my fingers quite hard to get a consistent response, maybe that was just breaking in but, probably hard to get the best of both worlds, theyre not mouse click triggers but at the same time, ive had scuff ones with that and they're no good for games where you're pressing partially like racing games etc so its a trade off, overall I think at the price point its a really good bit of kit, versatile, anyone struggling with accidentally pressing back buttons, you have to hold these slightly differently, press on the sides with your palms to keep it in your hands rather than wrapping your fingers around it and gripping it, ive had no problems with it, takes a little time to get used to using all your fingers but persist as its worth the increase in play performance 😉

alright
it comes with a nice case and it’s customisable but for 150 pounds it’s not great. i can’t turn off the mouse click and the back buttons are just annoying.

Remote play is not supported
Earlier this year I migrated my GTA data from my Xbox to the PlayStation so I could play with my family. I was then given a new Xbox for my birthday and found out that I couldn’t get my original data back so had to start the game from scratch on the Xbox.I can still play on the PlayStation but I find the controller uncomfortable and the layout is difficult for me to manage and makes my hands ache. So I bought this controller as it’s for the PlayStation but has the layout of the Xbox controller. It feels great and all the extras are brilliant, however, it doesn’t support remote play and this is how I use both consoles. We tried everything possible to get it to work but it just wouldn’t. We then found out that remote play isn’t supported. Considering the price and the fact that it’s sold as a PlayStation controller, we would expect it to support remote play as the normal controller does. I didn't notice if it worked on the PC as it states it does because I use my Xbox controller for PC games. If you just want this as a customisable PlayStation controller then go for it, but if you want to play remotely, don’t waste your money as you’ll just end up sending it back like I’ve done. It’s a shame as it seemed perfect but when I want to play my original GTA I'm going to have to persevere with the PlayStation controller.
