Grab and go!
First I took away one star because the utensils are a little cheaper quality than I was expecting, They feel like the four or five for a dollar at the store. They could have left them out or gotten pure metal ones without the handle and I would have been okay with that. Now, I love this set. I am that person that plans, packs, worries and unpacks to check everything. I like that I can grab this kit and I know I have the basics ready to go. If I am able to see this bag in the gear, I know I can cook while out. We actually got an organizer for the trunk of out vehicle and now leave this and a small grill in the back for emergency use or for quick trips.

A MUCH better “mousetrap”…
Now why didn’t I think of that?I’ve done a fair amount of camping in my life. I think of myself as relatively well-organized. I have most items that are required in convenient locations for packing. Ah, but there are the nuances of each trip, for they vary in length, in time of year, and the number of people that accompany one. And there is the matter that in the American West, some campgrounds NEVER allow charcoal and/or other open fires, save from propane canisters. My “kitchen” items are also fairly well-organized, with about 80% of the equipment in one place, and taken on each trip. Invariably, about 20% is taken from the kitchen, with one item sometimes forgotten. When the Vine program offered me this cooking set, I thought it would be ideal, but the actual product has exceeded my expectations. It has 33 pieces. A LOT of thought went into the selection of products and design of the organizer bag. Some thoughts:- I really like the colorful thickly knitted and padded organizer bag that zips, has two outside pockets, and two methods by which it can be suspended: by a strap or a hook. On the interior of the bag there are little Velcro straps to help hold the items in place. The design evokes the fun that all camping should be… even in a downpour.- The quality of the knives, forks and spoons is more than adequate.- I particularly like the quality and sharpness of the cutting knife, which comes in its own protective sheath.- There are salt and pepper shakers, with protective covers so they do not spill- There are adequate number of stirrers, ladles, and meat-flippers, for when you are allowed to have a fire. Each is substantive enough to get the job done.- There is a cutting board, gloves, a baster brush, and a quality pair of scissors, also in its own protective sheath.- An initial cleaning sponge and cloth are provided- And the ALL-IMPORTANT wine and beer opener (Beverages NOT included… but somehow items that are never forgotten).Overall, for the quality and the selection of the products, all within one very compact and colorful organizing bag, at a great price of $40, 5-stars, PLUS.

Pretty much everything you need for a camping trip.
We do a lot of camping and our utensils were a messy hodge podge of things tossed into a bag. Now we have a well organized kit of pretty much everything we had before and then extra stuff we hadn't know we needed. The quality of the items is a bit troublesome. A campsite is not the most forgiving of environments and I worry that they will not hold up to extended use. Not sure that I believe that they are Stainless Steel. The case is beautiful to look at, but it is cloth and will likely get dirty pretty quickly. At the end of the day it might be better to consider these as a backyard BBQ set and not out in the woods camping. Regardless I am still happy I have them.

Perfect For Light Use
This set has everything you’ll need for cooking outdoors on vacation. Everything is light weight and packs up neatly in the carrying case. The scissors and knife were better quality than I’ve seen in other sets. There are a couple of minor issues with the set. First, the non-slip gloves will only fit kids and women. There is plenty of room in the bag to add a set of men’s gloves. Second, the scale scraper and fixed BBQ forks are very sharp but don’t have protective covers or ends. Be careful when opening the bag and reaching for utensils. You can put the scaler in a small plastic bag and put cork ends on the forks to solve this problem. The spatula and soup spoon have metal handles, so don’t leave them in hot food for long unless you use gloves while cooking. Some of the utensils are for light use only, but for the price it’s worth getting the set and replacing pieces as needed. There is also quite a bit of room to add more items if you need them. I added spices, a small ginger/garlic grater, a rubber spatula, and a small container of dish soap.

This really is all you need for most camping experiences or for RV life
I ordered this because we rented an RV over the fall and I needed something that included most utensils to bring with me. This worked absolutely perfectly. I found myself second guessing a few times if everything was included so I could make sure that I purchased a spatula or a soup spoon. But it all came in this kit nicely packed in a bright case that would be hard to lose.
