Don't get this version, get the Pure
So I bought this version to make sure I wasn't missing out. I'll probably buy another pair in about 6 months and for that I would definitely save a few bucks and get the Pure version.Cons:1) Sand and leaves can blow in2) DOESN'T dry quickly in the spots where the water is trapped between your feet and the exposed air. If you're wearing socks, oh ho, good luck. It's pure EVA foam so it doesn't absorb the water, it just sloshes around. Hoenstly, this hasn't been an issue cuz it can feel nice, but leaves, sand and rocks in there? Yeah that's no good.3) Liners are useless. Doesn't breath at all and fits tight.Pros:1) Surprisingly good cushion. I was afraid 8~3mm of squishy croc foam would be dangerous but it's actually fun and squishy in the beginning. Mine have definitely worn down quickly to the minimum 3mm as advertised, so it's no longer squishy, but I can run fast in these on concrete no problem without any pain.2) LIGHT. It's like nothing there at all. Ridiculously light with the liner removed.3) Stylish. I got the black and white ones and get a lot of compliments all the time.4) Comfy. The wide toebox are the widest of any of my shoes and I'm part of the minimalist running shoe crowd who demand wide toeboxes. I wear these in place of dress shoes to work sometimes and it blends in surprisingly well.5) I can take these on and off super quick, something I was really hoping for as a feature in a casual walk around shoe and this panned out.

I reccommend for many activities and reasons! Great shoes!
I own 4 pairs of these and I teach aqua classes with them, they have decent traction, comfortable and water proof. I wear them on deck, on the cement, but I have worn them in the water kayaking and in the pool, bike riding and walking and they are awesome. I almost never wear shoes in the house, I am a barefoot kinda girl, but I actually forget that I have these on and end up wearing them all day! Great shoes! These are a particularly good deal because they come with the liner. I usually wear them without the liner, but the liner adds a little cushion when teaching on cement. Also even thought the bottom of these seem to do great on a wet pool side, I got the inside wet once and my foot slid around on the inside and I had to take them off and finish teaching without them. I am thinking that the liner would fix that problem. (I should also note that I do not have any problems with my feet, or need special arch support. My husband has a pair that he likes for kayaking and in the pool, but has pickier feet and doesn't shop or go on long walks with these)

Better than Vibrams
I wear a women's size 8.5-9 and got an 8. The size down fit perfectly, with a little room in the toes. I typically wear Vibrams Five Finger runners but wanted to try a different 'barefoot' type shoe. This brand exceeded my expectations. Extremely lightweight, a little thinner on the bottom than standard Vibrams, you feel your entire run. They are a little wide in the toe area, but it lets your toes be able to move more freely, seems like it mimics going 'barefoot' pretty well. Will be buying again in the future.

Great price and comfy shoe
I didn't buy these for running. They were recommended instead as a great shoe for backpackers who want a lightweight "in camp" shoe. If you remove the liner, they are only 4 oz. I had previously used Crocs, which are also great, but Crocs can be a little unsteady if they're used for river crossings or on uneven surfaces. I like having a shoe-like fit. I thought these were true to size and stayed on my feet fine, with the liners or without. The package includes the optional snap-in tongue which is used if you choose to remove the snap-in liner. I think I'll just bring light socks and leave the liner at home, but this version was actually cheaper than the version without the liner (the Ultra Pure), so I got a bonus!

Truthfully, they're eh.
I love minimalist shoes and vivo makes some of the best around, these look really funky and they weigh practically nothing and overall I like them. Why 3 stars? Well they are an absolute pain in the butt to put on and take off.I have fairly normal going on the wider sized feet and I normally wear a US 8 so I went ahead and got the 8.5 and when the shoes are on they are great, but the opening for the insert is TINY and has absolutely zero give, it's like trying to put on an anklet by dragging it over your foot, don't get me wrong once it's on your foot is fine but it's still a little tight around the ankle. I have never been able to put the shoes on with the inserts already inside the shoes, which really bummed me about because I love how my other vivos are so easy on easy off, but with these have a procedure: squeeze your foot in adjust around and then squeeze your foot into the rubber shell part and then line up the insert tabs and lock them in place on the top and the heel (the heel one gives me blisters after a few hours.) then tighten up the laces, lock those in place and tuck them in THEN REPEAT on the other foot. I will say this much, once they are on you does give you that great barefoot feel but still protected, but it rubs my feet in a weird way, and because I ordered the 8.5 I can't really wear them without the inserts comfortably because they are too large that way, but if you wear crocs you might like it because that's what I imagine crocs are like. I have had these shoes for a LONG time, they are good quality and vivo's are really built to last, but I would recommend skipping this style if you're looking to wear these for any long period of time or workouts (why I bought them) because these will not cut it. All in all I give them 3 stars because I still own them, still occasionally wear them and have been trying to engineer a way to add elastics to the inserts without destroying them in an attempt to hack them into better shoes. I can't entirely say that I regret buying them, but I would not recommend them.
