My first review in a couple of years...If you're struggling to get the training wheels off BUY THIS HANDLE. It took 3 days for our 6 year old to get the balance down without her knowing she could do it. 1st day we tried with the training wheels still on which made a sound when she leaned from side to side that scared her. We took the wheels off and gained the confidence of being held up. It only takes a tap on either side of the bar to correct the balance but she kept turning her head to see if she was still being held up. She pedaled two rotations before loosing balance without knowing she was doing it on her own but was easily stabilized. Day 2 she was able to peddle 5 rotations but began to pick up on the feeling that she wasn't being held. Day 3 she was going nearly 30 ft while I lied about holding the handle. On the 4th day with Mom and Grandma watching it all clicked and she was riding a hundred yards only needing help at the turn around. She did this all without crashing and learning to but her foot down without ditching the bike. We have now hit the point where I can barely keep up running next to her. This is a child that has been overly cautious her whole life maintaining 3 points of contact any time she was over 6 inches off the ground. Installation was easy, we will be buying these as Birthday presents for our friends children that are ready to kick the extra wheels.

I sent this back! It did not fit on the Schwin tricycle. It seemed almost exactly what I needed! Well built! Metal bar!

Heavier kids (over 40lbs) will just flip over and the bracket will just strip around; pulling seat with it. Able to tug seat and tighten back each time though.

We lost our parent handle for our son's Schwinn tricycle during vacation. A replacement was over $100. Found this handle and since it was universal we thought we would try it for the price. Glad we did because it works great and the price makes it even better.

Didn’t adjust to fit tight enough, kept slipping. They should have included an adapter for different sizes.

Well the handle is very short, it would not tighten down enough and it would not fit around the seat well enough, returning it and get to pay for shipping back with as a prime member it should be free shipping back or send to kohl's but no they want to change me $6.00

I fully buy into the logic that it does not make sense to have training wheels. The first day our son showed interest in riding a bike I was ecstatic. Except after about an hour I could barely walk from being hunched over. Steadying him with this handle makes it ridiculously easy and comfortable. Worth every dollar I spent.

We were a little late transitioning out of training wheels. My son was dying to learn, but we were really struggling trying to hold his bike study while running beside him.We saw someone with this handle at the park and ordered it on the spot.Once it arrived and we installed it, my son was completely riding on his own in two weeks. It’s a miracle worker!The seat will move around due to the way you install this. Consider it a short term loss for a long term gain :) I do wish they would figure this out though because you constantly have to adjust the seat.
