Amazing customer service and quality goods.
I’m glad I got this.I had bought this after wanting one of the old fashioned closed systems from brookstone many years ago, maybe going on 18 years ago.Though at the time definitely couldn’t afford one. I searched the internet periodically over the years and never found anything worth buying… that is till I found this. With great excitement I bought one.sadly due to some logistical errors things didn’t go exactly as planned however the seller was very kind and humble, they ensured my concern was heard and well addressed, and as of tonight I happily have a eco sphere with 4 lil shrimps!!I couldn’t be happier. I’m actually pretty well seasoned with taking care of and building aquariums as well aquascapes and planted aquariums, so I’m going to look up and follow some basics for these little guys to try and provide a good environment, however with the science there, technically 2ish shrimps should be able to survive without any intervention.Putting it together was a tad bit tricky the algae that the shipping bottle comes with kept catching the shrimps when trying to transfer them. So I used a long pair of aquarium tweezers to safely transfer the algae first then the shrimps. I held the bottle slightly off even so the water gently flowed following the inner wall of the sphere rather just dumping them in like I’ve seen on YouTube videos. The water itself is a bit cloudy however that is not shocking, shrimps especially these kind are more common in rivers and more brackish pods so it’s not going to be crystal clear drinking water.I will acknowledge that just shy of $100 USD is… a bit high however to find an enclosure, stock it with rocks branch algae etc, the shrimps themselves and the ready to go water solution, I’m okay with paying the price vs doing it myself for a tad less cost. I’m excited to see what the future of this sphere holds, hopefully many more years of enjoyment!!As a closing statement, I’m sorry to hear about the people who have had bad experiences with this seller/item set up, I honestly feel like everything is exactly what you’d expect, the customer service was outstanding. Price a tad high but justifiable. Over all I have zero regrets with this purchase.

2+ years later, all shrimp still alive, & hatched babies!
We received 4 shrimp over 1.5 years ago. All 4 shrimp are still alive, and 2 of them are gravid! Her eggs are dark red and adorable. All we've done to care for the shrimp is to occasionally (rarely) add a tiny bit of distilled water when evaporation occurs, and add a speck of food every few weeks. We keep them out of direct sunlight, in a room that stays about 70-75F all year.Update: the eggs hatched! We have multiple tiny baby shrimp swimming around in the bowl!Update: over 2 years later, the shrimp are still doing well. They've had multiple babies, and even they are doing well! We may try to find a bigger bowl, because they have had several babies now. But it's been so easy to care for them.... We just leave it in a bright spot on the kitchen island that doesn't receive direct sunlight except for about half an hour after sunrise. We don't have to move it to different locations, as one person said they do.One reviewer said she did her "research" and that this ecosystem starves the shrimp. That is 100% false. The proof is that after 2 years of owning this ecosystem, not only are our shrimp thriving, but so are their babies!

Expensive but worth it!
The media could not be loaded. Love it! Best desk pets for sure, they are the hit of the office.

Came alive, adorable, however not super ethical for these guys.
This is cute for temporarily keeping them, but this is a bit overpriced, and these shrimp can live up to 20+ years in better conditions.

Exceptional Customer Service and a Thriving Ecosphere
I recently purchased the ecosphere, and my experience has been a rollercoaster of emotions – from initial disappointment to eventual triumph. Let me break it down for you.Product Setup and Packaging: Setting up the ecosphere was a breeze. The instructions provided were clear, and the packaging was thoughtful – they even included a warming bag to keep the shrimps cozy during transit.Initial Shrimp Arrival: However, my excitement waned when I discovered that two out of the four shrimps were already deceased upon arrival. It was disheartening, to say the least.Above-and-Beyond Customer Service: I reached out to the seller, and their response was nothing short of exceptional. They promptly sent a replacement batch of shrimps. Unfortunately, lightning struck twice – the entire second shipment arrived lifeless. But here’s where it gets remarkable: I offered to pay for yet another replacement, and the seller refused to accept payment. They shipped a third batch free of charge, determined to make things right.Triumphant Outcome: Third time’s the charm! All the shrimps survived this round, and my ecosphere is now thriving. The seller’s commitment to customer satisfaction truly impressed me. They turned a potentially frustrating situation into a positive experience. In summary, despite the rocky start, I’m now a happy ecosphere owner, thanks to outstanding customer service. If you’re considering getting one, rest assured that this seller goes above and beyond to ensure your satisfaction. 🌿🦐
