GEARWRENCH 13 Piece 12 Point Ratcheting Combination Wrench Set SAE | 9312

This is a great set at its price point. I think any professional or serious hobbyist will go farther per dollar spent with this set than any other. It doesn't skip, and it goes up to an inch. This covers any SAE nut or bolt in the automotive world, and pokes up into heavy duty equipment in a strong way. Not many people will encounter a need for a larger ratcheting wrench. I will give a downside, these wrenches don't have a reversing lever. In my view, that is covered by their price. This set can cost 2-3 times as much on the Sears website, and I would not rate them at that value. But in the 80 dollar range, I will happily flip my ratcheting wrench over for reverse in the 75% of situations that's possible and use a non-ratcheting wrench in the others. (I wish the Amazon star ratings would replace either "sturdiness" or "durability" with "capability" or something like that). Don't let the price fool you, professionals look at gearwrench as a serious alternative to the premium truck brands. Whether you're looking for your first set of ratcheting wrenches or your forever set, I do believe these will leave you satisfied.

Awesome. I cannot believe the tq i put on these plastic ratcheting mechanisms. I broke a (roughly) 150 ft lb bolt loose with a cheater bar attached, and the mechanism worked fine after. Im super happy and super impressed with these wrenches!!!

If there is any chance you need angled clearance for the arc of turn for the wrench handle, do not get this set. You'll need the angled reversible. That much said, these are great wrenches for when clearance isn't an issue. One other thing about all ratcheting combo wrenches: DO NOT STRIKE THEM WITH A HAMMER OR OTHER OBJECT! These are not conventional non-ratcheting wrenches and the mechanism is miniature enough that it won't stand up to blows. I have a set of Gearwrenches, angled ratcheting, that I've used for 12 years with no problem. I got this set for other uses and would purchase again for those purposes without hesitation.

I would like to give this set 5 stars because gearwrench makes great wrenches... however I got unlucky and received 1 bent wrench out of the group : the 5/8" one. All the wrenches work perfectly fine. The bent wrench couldn't be a shipping issue as the shipping box wasn't smashed and plus these are forged wrenches... so it must've been just 1 bent from the factory. Amazon offered a refund however that would take about 2 weeks (1 week from when I send the WHOLE set, and 1 week from whenever they receive it).... which I simply don't have time to go to UPS as I'm a busy auto mechanic; work vs store time conflict. Not worth the trouble for just 1 wrench....

This is a great wrench and ratchet set, very smooth, well built and you can feel the quality.
