It is made of the memory foam material and is very squishy and yet rebounds nicely once there is no pressure. I was afraid that it was going to be to big when I first saw it out of the package, but once I used it, it compacted nicely giving good support. I am a side sleeper and normally use a body pillow to keep my legs apart. This pillow accomplishes the same goal in a much smaller package. I was able to turn over in bed without having to man handle this pillow like I normally do with the body pillow. The cover is soft and yet looks durable. I took the pillow with me on a trip to see family over the holidays. It allowed me to have comfort without the huge package that a body pillow comes in.
