They have a very strong gripping force and feel solid and durable right out of the box. Each clamp is well made and sturdy, not flimsy like some smaller clamps can be. The jaws have a slight rotation, which allows them to easily accommodate different shapes and thicknesses without slipping. The non-detachable jaw pads are a big plus as well because they stay securely in place and don’t pop off during use. The clamps are not to heavy and weigh just about right for its size. I recently used these clamps to hold down a tarp around my dragonfruit plant, and they performed flawlessly. Even with heavy wind and rain, the clamps kept the tarp firmly secured without loosening or shifting. That alone speaks volumes about their gripping strength and reliability.
