ZIP System Flexible Stretch Tape for Curves & Corners, 6" x 20' Roll

This Zip tape really does what it's supposed to and I cannot tell you how happy that makes me! I purchased it so I could install a shed window, after watching several YouTube videos. Originally, I had bought regular flashing tape from Home Depot, but I could tell it wasn't going to stay sealed for long. I grew frustrated because it should've been simple and easy, and yet was becoming a problem. So I ordered this Zip tape (sadly, no stores carry it in my small town) and it worked beautifully. It easily stretched around the corners of the window opening and then adhered to the uneven siding seamlessly. Given the resiliency and adhesion of this tape, I feel confident it will keep the area waterproofed through many winters. This product is well worth the price and I can't recommend it enough!

Great product, but expensive

As a contractor (framer and deck builder), I've never seen a product quite like this. I've used vycor and other asphalt based adhesive flashings, but this stuff is incredible. The ability to flex and stretch around corners to make a continuous flashing is huge, and this stuff is thick, like +1/16 ", which doesn't sound like much, but this is the first product I would have zero doubts about sealing around fasteners due to it's rubbery/stretchy quality and it's thickness. It's a well built product, a bit pricey but well worth it for what it delivers in my opinion. When you really stretch it out, it'll still stick well, but I'd recommend throwing in at least one staple or nail at the leading edge to ensure it doesn't start peeling before you cover it up.

Although very difficult to handle, great tape. Great adhesion, great stretch and when making a mistake, it will allow you to lift to correct. You can just feel the better quality versus other less cost tape. Be very patient. Take your time. If a crease happens at an edge, try softly massaging it. It will retract and settle. Try to avoid air bubbles when installing. Once it’s in place, make sure to j roller it. I think with more practice, installation will be easier. But well worth the difficulty for a beginner with this tape. Go slow and be patient.

Fantastic material in terms of stretch and rather clean adhesion. We were very impressed. However, ,material is quite fragile, that is, it easily tears and the price is "Crazy" expensive.....one could buy another window for the price of a roll.

This is my first time using Zip System on a building. The Zip products are great. The stretch tape was unavailable when I needed from my local big box stores. Amazon had it. The product really does work as good as it appears in YouTube videos.

Zip flex tape is an excellent product that really cuts down on time of install while also providing a perfect, seemless window or door sill pan.

Works great. Just not for my job I wanted it for window sill plate seal when I replaced my windows but my windows were measured so exact that the thickness of this tape took up too much space. But it did what it was supposed to
