ANOTHER CATHY GLASS MASTERPIECE
Unwanted is another brilliant book by Cathy Glass. All her fostering memoirs are excellent, books you just don’t want to put down. This is a new release on 19th January 2023.Unwanted is a Mother and Child placement where Cathy takes in a young mum and a baby boy. I hate spoilers so won’t say too much except the mum and baby have escaped an abusive relationship and gone to stay with Cathy for care and assessment to see if Lara can keep her baby. A true story with names changed it takes place through the Pandemic. It’s a book where you will feel sad at times then happy then wondering what will happen. Lara was also brought up in foster care and did not have good experiences so has very little good parental skills. Cathy shows all her love, kindness and care towards baby Arthur and Mum and also has the patience of a Saint! I highly recommend Unwanted. I love it in my Kindle but obviously as good in paperback and Audio. Happy Reading.

Another excellent book
I've read all of cathy glass books and each one it grips me from the start I'm the type of person if the book doesn't grip me from the first chapter I won't read it .As always with Cathy books I've read the book within 2hrs I could visualise the situations and I understood where she was coming from I was youngish mother as I had Mt eldest when I was 21 I too was a single mother but I could see there was big differences from how I was raised to how poor Laura was in the way we both parented my son came 1st but I'm glad Cathy was the person to help teach her and show her what parenting was actually like and gave her the much needed encouragement to prove she was a fantastic parent and also the fact even though Fraser wasn't her Foster child showed how she cared for him as well .

Wonderfully written.
This is a great story. I know what it's like to be a young single mum, I had 2 children at the time. It's very challenging but also rewarding. I'm so happy that Lara was able to be with cathy and get the help and advice she so needed to be able to manage on her own and that Lara was able to find herself someone who will stand by her and help out with Arthur. I had my dad and step-mum to help me and then I found a wonderful man of who I married, and still are married almost 18 years later and 4 more children added to our family. Thankyou cathy for your books.

brilliant as always.
I have read Cathy glass for as long as I can remember and as always this book gives an in-depth insight into her life as a foster cater and the highs and lows that brings. Cathy always shows such compassion when describing the young people in her care and you can just tell what a huge difference she has made to their lives.Whilst this setting was different to so many others I’ve read about it was brilliant to read about such a positive experience for a mother and child placement. And lovely to see these placements do actually happen with the focus of having mum and baby living independently again.I’m looking forward to Cathy’s next release and learning more about her time as a carer.
