it feels good, and recently found out it has Bluetooth capability
Will never buy another Logitech Mouse. Although I did, so will need to replace with one of these. Have 2 now, will be 3 soon.I have a hand/box full of Logitech mice. Almost new I need to get rid of. Have a big box of them that are all 1 year old. After one year, Logitech mice are no longer usable. I do Cad work and a middle button is very important. With Logitech, the middle button is the scroll wheel. This ceases to function as a middle button almost exactly a year after purchase on the last dozen that I have purchased. With Logitech, I have to replace all 3 mice once every year. Gladly pay 99.00 if I don't have to spend an hour every year hassling over another mouse when I am busy.Other than that, it feels good, and recently found out it has Bluetooth capability. New computer can only use Bluetooth mice, so I am set. All computers, all 3Dconnexion CadMouse Wireless from now on.

Awesome mouse for creatives
I've been using the Logitech MX Anywhere for years and felt it was the best mouse to drive CAD and graphics software. It's still one of my favorites, but now enter 3D Connexion CAD MouseWireless...best so far. Similar compact size - although considered a mobile mouse, but perfect for those of us that prefer smaller mice to standard/lg full palm sizes, to me it's perfect. It has even more of a solid feel over Logitech, if that's possible, perhaps weighted slightly more, makes it easier to make small movements accurately. Definitely better sliding feet and most importantly for 3D CAD, a true middle mouse button. Also the software driver is very versatile, easily able to customize buttons specific to each application. Again great for adding shortcuts for creative & engineering software, but just as handy for even office programs. In conclusion, you pay a little more but get in return high quality and versatility. Plus it's smart looking, with black rubber sides, matte black button surfaces and slick brushed metal trim. I'm impressed and glad I made the purchase.

A really well-designed mouse, worth every penny!
If a mouse is something that you use all day long, then having a nice rechargeable mouse that you hardly ever have to plug in is great. The mouse still works when recharging, and has just the right amount of buttons for navigating CAD programs and websites. I bought one of their spacemouse also and use both simultaneously all the time for SolidWorks and Altium. The "regular" mouse goes in your right hand and the 3D spacemouse goes in your left. This is a really clean setup for at least the above CAD programs. It is a good design (Hardware and drivers, etc) because it is totally intuitive. The combo took me very little time to get used to and even rely on. Basically you can move objects around with your left hand, while performing operations on them with your right. I never knew I needed it until I started using these on all my workstations. The build quality of these mice are at the professional-equipment level, so I do not think they are overpriced.

Overall good CAD mouse with a few quirks.
8ish month update: The mouse has been a workhorse. I don't really use the custom macros anymore because of the radial button placement. I find that I'm still much faster doing keyboard commands, etc because I don't have to think about them. The mouse has faired well and the battery life is pretty impressive. The only show of wear so far is one spot where my hand sits against the brushed metal finish has worn off and some distinct spots where my fingers sit on the mouse buttons. It is weird going back to normal mice in my office because I'm so used to the third button but all in all it has fared very well.As a long time CAD user I've had many a mouse's scroll wheel button give out because I use it so much. This mouse uses a third dedicated middle mouse button in addition to a button in the mouse wheel. It certainly seems like the dedicated middle mouse button will help keep the wear of the scroll wheel down and the build quality of this mouse makes me feel confident it will last awhile. My experience so far with the mouse.Pros:-Fairly comfortable and good feeling materials used. Not perfect fit for my hand but I have rather large hands.-Very smooth and precise pointer movement.-Driver software allows you to create macros and assign certain commands, including keyboard commands, to certain buttons including configuring a radial menu with 4 or 8 commands.-Can switch from using USB reciever to Bluetooth with just one button.-Very easy to configure buttons using the driver software downloaded from 3D Connexion website.-Comes with a hard carrying case.-Rechargable via USB and includes a rather long USB cable.Cons:-Radial menu button isn't very conveniently placed.-There is not compartment to put the USB reciever in the mouse, like most wireless mice.-In order to customize the buttons for a specific software it needs to be the last window you were in, which is a little frustrating.-3D Connexion software home screen doesn't act like a window in Windows and you have to minimize other programs to find it.-The pre-made custom commands for supported software is kind of limited and some of the commands don't work. I ended up making some keyboard command macros instead to replace them. All in all I'm satisfied with my purchase but there are a few quirky things about the mouse and the software. If you do CAD/BIM/3D modeling I'd highly recommend this mouse.

Connection Issues Solved! Great for CAD Designers.
This mouse was purchased because I was having some very stubborn and annoying Bluetooth connection issues with my Logitech mouse due to some interference caused by my setup. It could be my monitors but the mouse was much easier to replace.I've tried several different models until I finally purchased this 3D Connection Wireless mouse. The wireless USB connection by 3D Connection is solid and never drops. All connection issues are now solved! It also has a typical Bluetooth connection for travel so there's no fear of forgetting the USB connection dongle which will undoubtedly happen. The feel of this mouse took a bit of getting used to but once the hand adapts to the shape and 3x button layout, it's pretty amazing. There is no going back for me and it's perfectly suited for 3D CAD design. Picking points and lines feels very "precise".The rechargeable battery was a nice bonus as this was not something I was seeking. I can confirm it lasts a long time. I've been using it for well over 2x weeks without a charge (just to test it) and it's still at 64% as of this writing.Considering I've been shopping for a mouse for about a year now trying different models from different brands, I'm very satisfied with this purchase and I would highly recommend it.

Endgame mouse
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a programmer in possession of a X terminal, must be in want of a three-button mouse. Old-school hackers know that middle-click is how you paste in the terminal, and clicking the wheel is no substitute for middle-clicking.I tried many, many mice, from expensive ergonomic ones to flashy gaming mice, but couldn't find one that 1) had three real buttons, 2) also had a scroll wheel on top, 3) felt like a regular mouse. The Unimouse by Contour Design came close, but it was too big and heavy, and that angle was just uncomfortable, even at the lowest setting.I'm happy to report the mouse works out-of-the-box in X under Linux, with all buttons recognized. Clicking the scroll wheel sends the same event as middle-clicking, which makes sense I guess, but I would have liked wheel-click to be distinguishable. Also, the wheel feels precise but rather stiff compared to my current mouse. But those are minor quibbles. I've been looking for literally years for a three-button mouse with scroll wheel, and I'm very happy I found one, and I'm thinking of buying a spare one in case the first one breaks down.
