Excellent! Just what was needed.
Ordered a returned unit for my bathroom, as it was a little cheaper! I needed a replacement unit as new electric tooth brushes now come as USB devices but I also need twin plug. It arrived but it was the wrong unit, it had been been repackaged by Amazon but identified incorrectly as it had no USB charging points. Not to worry, Amazon returns is excellent!!! The device was picked up I ordered a NEW one this time, and my initial purchase was refunded in 5 days. Excellent. The device is easy to install, looks great and works! Great instructions. 5/5

Fitted perfectly and easy to fit
I ordered this shaver adaptor socket as it includes a usb c and a usb a charger integrated into it. Many bathroom devices are now coming with usb a or usb c cables to keep them charged and this is the perfect accompaniment to those types of products. I have never removed the shaver socket in my home before and when I received this replacement I was surprised by the size but I was happy to find that the existing shaver socket is actually slightly wider inside and so it fitted perfectly. The front plate I ordered with this device is a matt white one and it was of good quality, it is fitted onto the sockets by four small metal tabs and I did find that it's a slightly loose albeit solid fit which will make removing it for repainting the wall simple. I tested this with charging my phone using the usb c and it worked as a fast charger so I couldn't really ask for anything better. I note some people mentioned a hum noise, my old shaver adapter socket hummed and whilst this one does make a humming noise whilst a shaver is plugged in if you put your ear to it the sound is much less than my previous one and stops once the plug is removed. It does not hum at all if using the usb sockets.

Usb shaver socket
Excellent item. Easily fitted but front panel can become loose. Easy to fix the panel by bending four pins behind front

Not worth it for 8 months
Sadly it works for a few months before you have to start fiddling with the plugs to charge. Expensive. And sadly in 20 months I bought 2, thinking it could have been a defective one the first time. The USB’s do work but not the shaver plug, fiddle to get it to make contact and it humms when it’s connected. Not worth the prize or safe.

100% usefull shaver socket no longer 50% useless
Finally a shaver that socket that isn't half useless. So 99% of these shaver sockets come with a Dual 115V and 230V socket. 99% of them you can ONLY use 1 of the sockets at a time. So being in the UK you will rarely ever need to use the 115V socket but if you have a shaver you can use either because the majority of shavers are designed to be used worldwide and you can use either voltage (Note that isn't always the case with Electric toothbrushes and you should always check before trying to charge them in a 115V socket whether they are compatible with both voltages). The only time I would use the 115V socket was with my shaver just so the 230V socket wouldn't wear out as quickly (as that happened to me in the past where the contacts inside the socket wore thin and wouldn't grip some of the more slender charging prongs, hence wouldn't work). Anyway this socket is so much versatile. Coupled with the 230V standard shaver socket is a shared dual USB A and USB C socket. It's only a 5V 2.4A socket so you won't be fast charging any devices in those USB sockets but for my purposes it's ideal. All 3 sockets can be used simultaneously. The shaver socket and both USB sockets. So now I can charge my Shaver, toothbrush, and USB speaker ALL at the same time in the location where the devices live. No longer do I have to sacrifice one of the devices and take it out of the bathroom because I'm charging something else in the shaver socket. Wish I had found this sooner.

Faulty twice
Great idea. USB charging fine. First unit didn't charge the shaver in the 230 V socket. A wiggle and it would briefly. Second unit hummed all the time, charged okay, but didn't turn off when shaver removed. I took it apart to find an assembly fault. A contact had been put in upside down. So clearly not properly tested in the factory. Not sure I can recommend this product.

Excellent product and looks really good. I had to give 4 stars because it is supplied with 20mm electrical screws. You need to use a deep back box and even with this, it is difficult to fit the transformer and wiring inside. You then secure everything with the screws. Trying to do this with short screws is near to impossible. I had to buy some 35mm electrical screws in the end and they worked fine. Otherwise, very happy with my purchase.

Looks nice and the USB sockets are useful, but the shaver socket connection is unreliable and the transformer hums quite loudly.
