Andersen 737 Narroline Sash Balancer

One of the strings broke in a 30 - 40 year old Anderson window. This item was a perfect replacement and solved the opening and closing problems. Installation wasn't too bad but a couple of tiny screws in the side slides rusted and broke. It was easy to get replacements at the hardware. The trickiest challenge was not breaking either thin plastic side cover.

Ordered two because it was recommended to replace both sides. Part came in one day, price was good and pretty simply to replace if you are good with tools and patient because you can crack the vinyl. Window worked like new took me about 30 minutes.

Everything looks good. Balancer was installed without problem.

When you the exact part you pay the price. $52 seems pricey for what it is. But you need it, you get it

These fit perfectly with no need to chisel out any material not a big deal but it did not come with mounting screws and since factory install was with a staple, I had to supply my own screws. I had them but just a heads up

Rather than replace the windows we just replaced the weights. Two person job to make it easier, but done in about an hour.
