The clock and all the other features work great. We are very happy with the thermometer and the moon phases features. The only issue is that the frames look quite cheap. Only the silver and white ones look more or less stylish.

Short info: Decent, visible LCD clock with a nice touch in the ability to swap out frames.I'd been considering a digital clock for one of my rooms for a while, so when this came up to review, I snagged one.First, as you can see in the pictures, it's an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) clock - *not* LED. I mention it because (A) not everyone might be used to them and (B) if I type LED, it's my fingers typing it out of habit and nothing the brand says. :) You're not going to see this in low light or in the dark, it relies on reflecting ambient light.Visibility-wise, though, my vision's not perfect and I can see this easily across the largest room in my apartment, the long way, plus some - probably a good 20 feet. Which is important for a clock.The frames are decent (and plastic, other than the metal one) and attach via magnets. Very easy to swap out.Adjusting this is done via buttons on the back - as is turning on and off the alarm (and hitting snooze.) Simple "Set/Up/Down" to handle 12/24hr, degrees F or C, time and date. Nothing fancy, no apps to download or anything, just press the buttons.It displays the time (duh,) and underneath that the (indoor) temperature, date and moon phase in about inch high letters on the bottom. It can be hung on the wall (which I plan on doing) or you can use the fold out stand.It *can* be used as an alarm clock - I wouldn't, personally. Setting the alarm's simple as setting the time, but (a) all the buttons, including turning the alarm off and snoozing it, are on the back (and it's simple on/off,) and (b) it's not that loud. I set the alarm (which starts as one beep every second, then two, then three every second) and honestly could see myself sleeping through it very easily. And the button placement (and very simple functionality) means it's not going to be useful as a timer, either - but why are you using a wall clock for that?Oh, one last thing. The product listing makes sure to mention Acurite is headquartered in Wisconsin and has been the "leading manufacturer" of clocks and weather stations since the 40s. I have a quibble with this. First, if you read that and think this is a "weather station," it isn't, it's a clock - but that's pretty clear throughout the ad. Two, while they may be the leading manufacturer - this clock is made in China. They don't hide that on the box (after all, what *isn't* made in China these days, it's like saying "Air in room may contain air") but if you buy this thinking you're buying something made in the US... you're not. It's imported and branded. (It does say "country of origin - China" in the product information, in fairness, but that's down farther than most people probably scroll.)

I was surprised at first opening the shipping box how big this clock is - 9" wide x 6.5" tall. That makes it very readable from a distance, and I ended up mounting it on a wall in our garage. There is no backlight, so you won't want this in a dark room even though it includes an alarm clock + snooze feature. Batteries are not included and it takes (2) AAs.The display shows time of day (HR:MN:SEC), temperature (F or C), date (MM/DD), Day of week (MON-SUN) and moon phase. Setting the clock was easy and intuitive. It did take me a moment to figure out how to swap in one of the 3 extra clock frames since the attached stainless steel face sits nearly flush with the clock body; use your fingernail to pry it up and then snap any of the other faces (which each include embedded magnets) onto the front.Overall I liked this clock and it looks well made.

The media could not be loaded.  The LCD Clock/Temp size is really nice, not too big or small for most situations. The removable frames are REALLY NICE, I really like the wood one the most. However, I'm very disappointed with the viewing angles, esp. the straight on viewing angle, it's blurry, like double vision. From other angles, above, below and to the sides, sometimes it's tack sharp and sometimes faded / washed out. This reminds me of the Motorola Xoom tablet I had, great hardware and aesthetics, but they used a poor display and the display like for this and for the tablet is the most important feature. No matter how nice the hardware, design or accurate it is, if the display doesn't look good, it takes away from everything else. Does that mean it's not good? Well, it's functions as it should (clock/temp,) but LCD display is disappointing, but if you're at least 3 feet away from the display it becomes less noticeable, so it's not a deal breaker. Great digital wall/tabletop clock. It comes with other frames, but I loved the stainless-steel look. It was easy to set and hang up which i love. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it doesn’t automatically set or change for daylight saving time, so that's a bummer. But overall, we love it.

Yes, I read the dimensions, but do you ever read the dimensions and think that it is one size, but when you get it, it isn't the size you thought it would be? Okay, in any case, that was my bad. I was looking for a small clock to put in the bathroom, but this was much too big for the bathroom, so I think it will go in the garage. I like that it comes with different frames to match any decor. You can clearly see the time from across the room, hence it was too big for the bathroom. The time is accurate, so it will keep you on time. It's a great value for the size of the clock!
