I was looking for a smaller grate for our living room fireplace. We live in an older farmhouse and the fireplace is small. I was very impressed with the quality of this great and how well it fit into our fireplace. I'm almost excited for winter to get here so I can burn some logs on it. It's sturdy and well built. It looks very nice sitting there with logs on it . It's very level and stable . It came put together so I did not have to assemble it which is always a plus! I would definitely recommend this item.

the seller reached out and offered me a full refund, which i am not going to take. the reason i'm amending this review is i realized i may have sounded too harsh originally. the grate is a good unit and i think it was well worth the price i paid. the design is good. the welds are good. there isn't one made that won't lose it's paint in a fire. my ONLY complaint was the misleading size in the ad. seems to be put together pretty good. paint is mostly gone after 3 fires, but that is to be expected. 5 star if it was actually 3/4 inch as advertised. as the picture shows it is BARELY ABOVE 1/2 INCH thick. anyway, it looks fine and works fine but it will definitely not last as long as it would if it was 3/4 inch steel.

I am incredibly impressed with this Mr. IRONSTONE log grate. The 21-inch size fits beautifully in our indoor fireplace. Because it raises the logs up efficiently, the airflow is fantastic, resulting in cleaner burns and much less smoke in the room. The solid steel construction is super rugged and holds heavy logs safely without any bowing. It looks great and performs even better. Highly recommend!

Super sturdy. After many uses it doesn't peal or rust like other ones. Well made excellent quality.

Didn't last but two seasons until we burned it up. But then we have received really hot fires
