used these since I was a kid and bought them off the TV
nothing can truly remove a scratch from a lens or monitor without completely changing the refraction and optics. however if you are truly screwed and need something to make things tolerable or passable til you can replace the damaged item, these pens are absolute life savers. I am practically blind and need lenses that actually can restore my sight. any and I mean any damage shows violently and causes serious issues. however these pens can lessen the roughness in the gouge to the point where it isn't as horrible. it took years to actually figure out the exact point where the repetitions of application to a scratch in question to increase the problem as it wears away the functional area around the scratch. these things can make it far better or it can worsen it. it takes 4 to 7 applications to actually see results. however each pen lasts ages and if you have reasonable expectations its actually a miracle product. however never use it with anti-reflective lenses or transitions. remember the goal is to make it less noticeable, you cant make it look OEM fresh again.

Save your money, move along
Literally did nothing. My glasses aren't that bad, but the slightest smudge bothers me. I thought this would resolve the very minor, very light, scratches. It did not. I made multiple attempts using various levels of force when applying the product. Nothing worked. I even did half of a lens to see if there was a slight improvement on the treated side. There was not.

Wish This Worked!
I sure wish this scratch filler worked to eliminate the appearance of a scratch, but it just doesn't. It may reduce peripheral, tiny scratches but the main and very central collection of scratches didn't go away. Not at all - new lens time!

Not worth it.
Did not work on the scratches on my glasses. Either get used to the scratches on your lens or pay for new ones. Don't get that desperate to use this garbage product.

This works!
I had two small, but irritating, scratches on one eyeglass lens. When LensBuff was delivered I immediately tried it. A very significant improvement! Would definitely recommend for small scratches.

I'm pleased with this purchase
It worked well for me!My $800 pair of transitionals fell off the sink the other day and they got a tiny, but deep scratch on the right lens, right in front of where my eye normally looks through it. The light reflecting off the scratch has been driving me bonkers. But I didn't want to have the lens replaced because it would be expensive and inconvenient. So, I did what I always do: I looked on Amazon for something to fix it. Since I only have a tiny scratch, rather than shallow scratches all over, the clear solutions that go all over the lens didn't seem right (especially after I read the reviews). Then I saw this pencil, and I thought it might work.I wasn't expecting miracles, so I wasn't surprised that it didn't make the scratch magically disappear. But it did fill in the scratch so that light wouldn't reflect off it. The tiny black line that is there now is something I don't even see, whereas having a bright white light line appear every time I moved my head was really distracting.I'm pleased with this purchase. It did exactly what I needed it to do, to keep me from needing to get a replacement lens. (Even if I will probably have to fill the scratch again every time I give my glasses a good washing). That being said, this pencil looks and acts exactly like a grease pencil. I don't know if the formula of the core of this pencil is grease or something different. But I do wonder if maybe I could have saved a few bucks by going to the hardware store for a grease pencil instead. Or possibly even a black crayon. Ah well. At least this product is definitely made for glasses and it works nicely.

I was highly disappointed with its performance
This product does not work at all!!! I was highly disappointed with its performance! I had used a similar product years ago that DID work and unbelievably well! That is why I chose to order it! I am very glad I ordered the used one instead of new!

This actually works
It doesn't take away the scratches exactly, but this pencil can cover the scratches to alleviate the crazy bad ones that drive you batty when you're working or watching TV. I've used it a few times and the scratches seem to be less defined and easier to see past rather than bug your vision.
