Buy it, it’s worth the hundo it cost
I own the big brother 18 volt Rigid drill but it’s too big and bulky for tight spaces. Wow this little compact drill is cool. Heavy weight in a small package. I was wondering why this little drill was so expensive, its really high quality built and comes with 2 batteries, charger and nice canvas embroidered carry bag. Feels really ergonomically comfortable and balanced in your hand with no bulky battery in the way. This will be my new go to drill until heavy duty big brother is needed again.

Lifetime service agreement is hard to beat
If you can find this set for under $90, this is definitely worth a purchase.I recently moved into a house and need to do a bunch of small projects around the house. I know I don't need something that would be better suited to a work site, since i don't need that much power for that long of a time. This little drill has ample torque and comes with two batteries so you can have one charging while you're still working. The thing that stuck with me was that Ridgid tools have a lifetime service agreement. In a addition to a fairly standard warranty against defect, if you register the tools (including the batteries and charger), Ridgid will replace them when they fail. I read the details included and it seems pretty clear that you basically have batteries and a drill for as long as you wish to own them. I couldn't find any other battery-powered tools with a similar agreement (warranties usually only cover defects, and do not cover batteries past a certain date), so this felt like a good bet.Again, everything else about this tool is well made, but that LSA put this over the top for me.

No Lifetime Warranty if Not Bought at an Authorized Dealer
The Ridgid 12V cordless drill is an excellent tool as it is compact (shorter than my Craftsman Nextec 12V cordless drill it replaced), has plenty of torque, and has decent battery life. This unit has two short comings: It appears to have been discontinued and the Lifetime Warranty is USELESS if the tool isn't bought by a Rigid Authorized Dealer. Home Depot is one such dealer but they no longer carry the 12V drill. You also need to register the tool and if the seller removed the UPC code from the box (which the seller has done to the one I bought) - you're screwed. The main reason I bought this unit instead of a Milwaukee or Bosch is because I already have a 12V multi-tool so I wanted the shared compatibility. Then I found out batteries not included with the tool set are not eligible for the Lifetime Warranty. Summary: If warranties are important to you get the Milwaukie or Bosch drill. Not sure if anyone makes compact drill like the 12V units from any companies so this may be a moot point and you're stuck with the bulkier18V units with the batteries the size of a house.
