Wonky design, good sound, flawless Bluetooth
UPDATE: I do not know how I missed this in the first place, but Shure has included a little clip which snaps on to the “dongle” at the center of the earbuds, to attach it to your shirt collar. It’s a sort of clunky solution, but it DOES solve my main complaint about them which was that darn dongle always sliding around. I’ve changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars. Glad I misplaced the earbuds and thus missed my return window on them, ha.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I really wanted to like these, as Shure is obviously known for making excellent earbuds and in-ear monitors, and these are an affordable product carrying their audio technology. However, I’m going to be returning them. You may like them; read on for why I don’t.The sound is nice, tho lacking in bass — I just adjusted my eq and was happy, but the RHA corded buds they replaced had a good deal more bass, as do the Bluetooth Elgin Ruckus Discord buds I use at work. What drove me to dislike the Shure buds, and decide to return them, is the physical design of them. On the positive side of things, they’re comfortable *in* my ears, and block out a lot of sound. The negative, obnoxious, silly part of their design is what I assume to be the Bluetooth dongle in the middle of the cable between the earpieces (not the control dongle, which is closer to the right earpiece) — it hangs at the back of the neck, and since it’s the weightiest part of the buds, it is constantly dragging the buds down. Shure’s instructions say that the cable coming off the earpieces is designed to loop over the top/back of the ears, however it doesn’t do this well (it is not structured or memory cable) and is always falling off my ears.A good design would’ve been like the Elgin product, where there is a structured bit which is curved and stiffened to hug the neck, between the Bluetooth dongle and the control dongle, thus relieving the strain on the earpieces and causing the whole thing to “sit” around your neck.I can’t say I’d recommend theseUPDATE: the design of these is still not my favorite but the inexpensive SoundMagic earbuds I got to try to replace these, while my preferred design, have Bluetooth issues that make them aggravating to use. The Shure buds have no such issues

A solid $40 pair of wireless headphones for short stints if you're sedentary.
I orignally saw these, and with recommendation from comments and a few videos, decided "Hey, these are $10 more expensive than your previous samsungs, but they have good reviews and appear premium, I'll give it a shot". And for my ten extra dollars I got somewhat sharper sound quality, louder in general sound, a shorter battery time, worse call quality, and a complete and utter failure of bluetooth technology. The sound is good, not bose good, but good. They sound crisp and have enough sound to drown out my motorcycle exhaust when I wish, mega plus. The string/battery/controller easily tuck up into my helmet if its raining, another plus. And thats where it ends.Im a mechanic and I wear these all day. Well, not all day because half way through the day I need to put them on the charger or they'll before my work day is over. I mainly listen to audio books but the days when I decide that just crankin some music sounds nice, nope, they work from 7am, and by 11 theyre recommending I charge them. Lame. Maybe I could over look it, but nah. As I said, I work on cars. My phone either isnt always on me, or is in my pocket. I cant even lay on the floor with my phone under me, with out these things breaking up or completely losing my audio. Or if my phone is in my pocket and Im bent over a fender, same deal. My old samsung headset let me leave my phone and walk 100 feet away and never broke up(Im aware that is abnormal for bluetooth but they were cheaper...). And another comparison, I never had to charge them during my day. Music blasting or just listening to books.Last but not least, the call quality is horrendous, I constantly need to ask people to repeat themselves due to break up. I turn them off and hold my phone to my ear, no problem. And for continuity, I have a note 8 and I used both my samsung wireless headphones and my shure wireless headphones with it. So I cannot blame the phone. In summary, I wouldn't buy these for my needs. If you want headphones that youre only going to use to stream to, with your phone sitting on your lap or desk next to you, for short periods, and like spending more money than you recieve quality, these are for you. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Great Wireless Bluetooth Headphones, Even if Cable Doesn't Detach
The Shure SE112 with wireless cable is pretty darn good. The battery life is stellar as well as the charge time, I never had an issue with it dying when I did not expect it. The sound quality is what you would expect, fairly entry-level. In comparison with the SE215, the lows are a bit lacking (the 215's are known to be a tad bass heavy) with not as much sub-bass extension. The high's and mids however are fairly spot on compared to the 215's, with the 215's maybe sounding a bit clearer, if barely. The wireless implementation Shure created is also quite nice, I had no issues with connection and I could go quite far before it started cutting out.If you are used to how well the SE215's fit in your ear these are a little strange to get use to, they are much more round and not so fitted for an ear, that being said they still fit fine and won't fall out, the SE 215's do have a superior fit in my opinion though. My only gripe with these IEM's are that the cable does not detach like most Shure models, which sacrifices the durability and options that the higher end models grant you.The cable is quite rugged though, I thought mine were dead after I snagged them in the rolling seat of my car, but to my surprise when I finally yanked them out there was not a scratch on them nor was there a detached wire internally. So if you can afford the price increase to snag the 215's with this cable I would go for it, but this is still a quite nicely priced offering from Shure.

regular

Stopped working
Stopped holding a charge after about 2 and a half months. Before that performance was average, not great.Pros:Decent soundEasy to pairFair passive noise cancelingCons:Short battery life (shorter than advertised. Seemed to drain down even when powered off)Spotty/weak connection when battery remaining was under an hour. After 2 months, full charge would drain in under an hour.I ended up returning them.

Recommended. Great sound quality for the price.
Recommended. The small ports on the earbuds are way more comfortable for smaller ears. And if you want memory foam tips, just buy some $0.25 foam earplugs and make them yourself. Pierce and trim the tip of the earplug for a very secure and noise blocking fit. With the noise blocking, I can listen to music at *very* low volume and still hear if somebody calls my name.

These are either great or terrible, depending on the environment you use them in
Overall, these earbuds are pretty good. They have fair sound quality for the price, nothing exceptional. It seems the wired version of these sounds better, so I believe its a Bluetooth limitation. I can't comment on the stock ear tips because I bought these with the Shure foam ear tips, but with those, these have an incredibly secure fit and insane noise cancellation. This is the first pair of earbuds that have actually been able to stay in my ear whilst training no matter what, but this is more a testament to the Shure foam ear tips, not the earphones themselves. Now onto what will either make or break these headphones for you - their connectivity. These earbuds are terribly susceptible to interference. If you plan on using these in an environment with a lot of interference such as near a busy road, they are pretty much useless. They will cut out constantly, to the point where the music is not even understandable. On the other hand, I've had great success with these indoors in gyms and even outside, but only when it's not busy, such as at night. Again even in the ideal environment, they aren't perfect, but at least they aren't bothersome. I will give a summary of where these will or will not work well below.Work well in:-gyms-indoors-outside away from busy areas (ones with a lot of cars or people)Work terribly in:-near busy roads-busy streets with many other Bluetooth devices aroundIf you are deciding whether to buy these, let my list above guide your decision. There is nothing that can be done about the connectivity, it's just the cheap hardware inside. If you want a more reliable connection, invest in something like Airpods, which actually have great Bluetooth (you get what you pay).At 80 Canadian dollars at the time of review, I would still consider these a good pickup when combined with the Shure foam tips or flanged tips. Just don't expect anything amazing, you get what you pay for with wireless earbuds (usually).
