The media could not be loaded.  Great trash can! If you have a nosy pet that likes to root around in trash cans, this is for you. If you live alone or with just one other person and it takes a while to fill a trash can, resulting in a skunky smell, this is for you. This would work best next to a seated position so a desk, recliner, sofa, commode, etc. I say that because the lid stays closed until you activate a motion sensor. The lid opens for 5 seconds and automatically shuts. The motion sensor is not tripped until about 4 or 5 inches above it. Any higher and it's not tripped. Mine is next to a bathroom vanity so I have to bend down for my hand to activate the sensor. My husband loves it and he said he uses his foot to activate it. Well, I have bad knees and I don't trust my balance to use my foot - LOL! Still, not a big deal to bend over. I witnessed my cat trigger the sensor with his tail. Good thing the lid auto closes. It's very quiet. A small roll of drawstring bags comes with the trash can. I like how the bag attaches to the can so it doesn't collapse. The drawstrings "hang" over tabs on the sides of the can and there are several rubber grips where the rim of the bag gets inserted. When the bag appears full, you grab and pull the drawstrings before opening the lid. However, the bags hold more than the trash can can hold. Seems a little wasteful so when the bags are gone, I won't use drawstring bags. Instead, I tested plastic grocery bags (or Wal Mart bags) and they work just as well. This is battery operated. Batteries are not included. I can't remember how many AA it took. It was between 2 and 4. The can is a no nonsense design with rounded edges. Tasteful. Doesn't draw attention to itself. I'll probably get another for next to the desk in my home office. I like the no touch feature for next to the commode so, now that I think about it, I'll probably get two more LOL. Slender enough to fit in tight spots, like between the commode and wall.

I was looking for a small touchless trashcan for one of my bathrooms and this one is just right. It looks exactly like the photos so there will be no unpleasant surprises. It is on the small side so double-check the dimensions to make sure this is what you are looking for.The sensor works very well and quickly opens when I wave my hand over it. The operation of the trashcan is very good and works as expected.It comes with one roll of garbage bags but in my opinion they are way too big for this trash can. Thjey fit inside but I would prefer a smaller bag. However the top of the bag is just right to fit over the opening.As for the devices on the side to help you pull the drawstring closed, I don't really care about that and didn't test it. If you use bags that don't have drawstrings, that's fine, it will work just as well so you don't have to use more expensive bags with drawstrings.Overall I definitely recommend this trashcan if you are looking for a nice, small touchless trashcan. I have it in the corner of a small bathroom. The sensor opens very quickly as soon as it detects nearby motion and it closes automatically.This trash can uses 2 AA batteries which are not included but are a common size. What is included is a roll of drawstring trash can liners which fit perfectly. This can is designed to hold the drawstrings on the side making it very easy to quickly close a full bag.The ELPHECO 3 Gallon Automatic Trash Can is IPX5 waterproof as well as odor blocking which makes it ideal for bathrooms. It is a neat and efficient trash can.

The media could not be loaded.  Okay so this thing is cool. It takes care of all of those gross things you hate about the bathroom trash can. I love how it runs on battery. I've been using it for a few months now and haven't had to change the battery yet. It's very easy to change the bag. the lid is designed in a way so that nothing gross ends up on the rim. So that when it is time to change the bag there's nothing gross on it. It comes with a decent amount of bags and refills are super easy to find. This does work with other brands of bags as well if you didn't want to keep using these for whatever reason. The motion detector is super strong and will detect any type of shadow but doesn't seem to be affected by turning the lights on and off. The most surprising thing to me was the odor control. Something bad smelling was in here and I didn't notice until I went to change it. Highly recommended!
