This bulb works beautifully , I gave 4 stars because as one other reviewer mentioned , if you are using this in any type of fixture that you don’t leave on 24/7 ( like the outdoor fixtures that come on at night or a lamp that has a roll switch on/off clicker on the cord ) the bulb will flicker upon screwing it in but you can’t just turn it off and back on , it will have to be unscrewed and screwed back in each time , otherwise it comes on as a steady non-flickering light . I am unsure if this also applies to switch/ wall plates , but it is true with my table lamp . I did read one review regarding the this issue in the outdoor dusk activated fixtures so I knew there was a possibility of this prior to purchase, I still like the bulb and am only slightly annoyed with the ritual thus far , but if you are planning on using these in hard to reach areas that aren’t at your fingertips this issue might be a a bigger one for you :) It does look fantastic though , the effect is top notch :)

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I wired in a real pumpkin, into AC power with one of these bulbs. It's really convincing it's real fire, and way brighter! My pumpkin kills all the battery powered dim fake candle pumpkins in the neighborhood. It's an indoor bulb, but mine gets rained on a bit and still runs great. It's apparently well made, and has been running non-stop since I got it.Buy one!

It has 3 modes that can do different effects by simply turning on and off for 5 seconds. It has decent brightness to it and the effects are not pixaled and are decent from a small distance. It has a nice 180 day guarantee to go with it too, which is short but good enough to know that you will like it or not. I think the description needs to be updated to indicate from the 1 mode flickering though. Overall it’s a good bulb for the price and would recommend it.

This is so cool and I am thinking of getting 2 more. I originally got it for my front door with Christmas decor, I since tried it on the patio and inside. I love it all over and have even though of shopping for more special (torch like) lamps to use it in. As Spring comes, I will definitely need one for the patio. If I were building a new house, I would definitely design some wall sconces in with these in mind.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I ordered single mode for the yard light that turns on at dusk. I received a 3 mode bulb. So unless I’m around to turn it off and on again, the flame mode will only display every 3 days. NOT useful, not what I ordered. Additionally, you can see each individual LED clearly from far away. I also thought I was buying a 2-pack based on photos. Mostly my fault for not reading the bad descriptions better, I guess.The good thing about this bulb is that it has flame separation. Some do not.

These work best in a light fixture that conceals the bulb.I put several of them in a group underneath a piece of mostly opaque plastic in the middle of a stack of wood as part of my Halloween display.I also have a small stove in my backyard, on occasion I put a couple of them in that in a similar manner.

I have my bulb hooked up to an outdoor photocell that kicks the light on at dusk, however the light remains constant when this happens.. I tried putting it in a regular lamp to see if I could get it to work properly and still was unable to get the bulb to flicker. Not worth the premium IMO
