My 2 year old grandson stacks the cubes together and we simple do sequential counting (he also like maker tall towers with the cubes). My 6 year old granddaughter, is using these to help her get a visual understanding of units (ones), tens and 100. I purchased two sets of these so that she can create large number sets. The size of these cubes is perfect for small hands and the pieces stack on top of each other without excessive effort needed. Should the cubes get sticky, they are super easy to wash - simply place them in a tub of warm soapy water for a few minutes, wipe if needed and then set out on a towel to air dry.
