This is the perfect robe.
I want to say I don't do social media marketing/lying and I wasn't compensated in any way for this review.I ordered Towel Selections, shawl collar 100% Turkish cotton robe in size xl/xxl. I washed it in hot in an older GE washing machine that is not gentle on clothes. The color, gray(it may be the charcoal, forgot already). It arrived with the color as expected and after washing was true to the original color. When the robe arrived it was pakaged nicely. I got it in a few days after placing the order. It is exactly the weight it said it would be. Any thinner, it would be too thin, even for me in San Diego. Any thicker and it would not drape nicely. It drapes very nicely but is thick enough to dry me off completely and cover my machine gun jublies(nipples, if I can say that here?). The robe dries quickly and is very very soft. After washing it in hot, no fabric softener(makes cotton less absorbant) dried on high, I inspected all of the seams, there were no holes or seams out. It did fill the lint trap half way through but we changed it and it finished drying normally. As you can see in the pictures there are very fine threads coming off of the inside seams. They are few and soft so this is a non-issue for me.If you live in a snowy climate, this is not the robe for you. If you live in a sometimes chilly, sometimes mild, sometimes warmish(southern California) climate, this robe is the perfect weight.I combed through probably every robe on Amazon over the course of a month before purchasing this robe. I'm glad I did. It's perfect.I would and still may buy a few more for my sons and my mom.Get this robe. It's the perfect robe.Update: Of note; I did have to wash it inside out a couple of times to get the residual lint off. Even then, there was barely any. Still holding up perfectly. It is heavy, given the largest size that I ordered. If you order the largest like we did, you probably won't want to hang it on the back of your bathroom door. We are putting up hooks on the wall for the robe.

they were so wonderful that the moment we got home we started hunting ...
When my husband and I went on our honeymoon we were given robes to wear during our stay, they were so wonderful that the moment we got home we started hunting for some of our own. I managed to track these down and have loved mine since the day it arrived. They have a slightly heavy weight which make them feel luxurious and they are also absorbent and warm. I put mine on after a shower to keep warm as I get ready and also just around the house on lazy days. I was a bit apprehensive to purchase these robes at first due to the multitude of reviews that mentioned tears and strings, however I have worn my rob almost every day for the last 4 months and have not had a single rip even after multiple machine washes/drys. I have, however, seen quite a few strings after I pull my robe out of the dryer, but a couple snips from my scissors are a quick remedy to this. All in all, I think these robes were a fantastic buy, and would definitely purchase them again. I am 5'4-140 lbs and my husband is 5'9-145lbs (lean build) and we both bought the S/M size. They are slightly loose (which is my preference) and my robe stops at the same length as the female shown in the main picture. My husbands stops right around his knee.

Plush and absorbent
I'm very finicky when it comes to bath towels and robes. I don't like anything that is non-absorbent, and I need the robe to stand up well to frequent washing. I absolutely LOVE this plush Turkish cotton terry bath robe. It is super absorbent and soaks water up straight out of the shower, leaving you totally dry. The fibers are soft, not scratchy, and after several launderings it will become even more comfortable. The belt is removable. I love the muted sand color. Two deep pockets and a generous neckline for extra absorbency. I like my robes nice and large so I ordered a size up to ensure lots of room. Treat yourself to this, you won't be disappointed!

Great robe, warm and absorbent! Great price!
I love this robe, it is absorbent and warm. I use cotton terry robes as I would use a towel after a shower, so the level of absorbency is important. I only have one problem I have with it. I followed the directions that said to wash before first use. The color is slightly different now than it was before I washed it. It’s still a beautiful shade of purple, but it was a little bit more vibrant before the first washing. The laundering changed the texture a bit also, but purely for aesthetic reasons. It looked prettier before I washed it, but it’s very absorbent. It is necessary to wash before you first to wear it, because it will shed a little bit, which is normal for new terrycloth. This is an excellent robe for the price. I haven’t bought a new cotton terry robe in about 20 years because they’re ridiculously expensive. I refuse to pay more than $100 for a bathrobe! So I’m very pleased with this one because it only cost approximately $50 and it’s very good quality. I hope it lasts 20 years like my last robe did! I’d like to mention that I’m very very picky and fussy about things, the way the robe looks and feels before and after washing probably won’t bother anybody but me, or people like me!

Quality robe for a great price
I'd been looking for a robe to replace the Ralph Lauren robe I got 12 (!) years ago and used daily. This robe is pretty great -- very absorbent. The sleeves are very long, probably because they are meant to be folded in a cuff, but I like just letting them hang out. After daily use over 2 months and a few washes, a few threads are coming undone, but in general the robe is holding up really well. The robe's material is also thicker than my previous robe, which I like. It keeps me very warm :)I got the large/extra large because I'm very tall and very pregnant (6' 1", 200+ lbs). The fit was good for my size. Length-wise, the robe was knee length or slightly shorter -- I wish it was a few inches longer, but oh well.

good quality
The bathrobe fits very well. It is warm and comfortable and the terry cloth is good quality. No extra threads or bad sewing. Really great product!

Enjoying this soft robe
Fluffy and soft, a nice wrap-around fit. It smelled a little bit like vinegar when it arrived, but I didn't mind that since vinegar is a natural cleaner. The make of it seems pretty good too.

Okay but not awesome
I found that the size was very good , colour was not as vibrant as I thought it would be .Lighter weight than I was hoping for , seems to snag easily .
