Thomastik-Infeld S8 Spirocore Violin Strings, Single E String, 4/4 Size, Steel Core Chrome Wound

I bought a french violin(Jean Baptiste Colin) and it had an old set of dominants on it but a different e string.Although it had been well played the e string stood out as very easy on the ear with no squeaking and a lovely mellow tone.Turns out it was a spirocore chrome wound. I know different strings suit different violins but this is the perfect string for mine. I've tried all sorts at considerable expense but this is worth trying for anyone not happy with their e string sound.I am super happy
