I have several brands of this battery maintainer in the 2 Amp cycle. This unit is 5 Amp's and it seems to charge better than the others. I do realize that it is greater in Amp's than the others. I have noticed that the others are taking longer to charge than they used to so that may be playing a part in this. It also seems to charge at a deeper level for my marine batteries. I don't think you will be disappointed in this product, I am waiting for #3 to get here. I will be buying at least 4 more (7 total).

This 2A smaller charger is fully automatic and very simple to use. I have connected it to a motorcycle battery, and it has charged it and now keeping the proper voltage in maintenance mode. It has essentially fully automated my previously manual battery maintenance process.I also bought this 5A larger charger on sale, after an extensive research. I wanted to get a good brand unit, with fully automated function. This charger fits the bill. It is fully automatic and very simple to use. I have connected it to charging posts under the hood, while it hangs off the hood latch part. It has analyzed and charged the battery fully first and then, automatically switched to keeping the proper battery voltage in maintenance mode. If/when power might go out and then come back, the charger reinitializes automatically, analyzes the battery type and state, and then resumes operation. It does not require any manual selections or adjustments. It has made my previously manual battery maintenance process much simpler.

Great charger use it all the time.

I wanted a charger with enough juice to charge a battery and also maintain it. This does that. Just attach to battery and plug in. No having to push a start button or pick what style battery you have. Exactly what I wanted. Quick and easy. Other supposedly automatic chargers require you to push a start button and such. Not this one!

I bought this model because the price was lower than the model with a higher amperage that they offer. I use it mostly on a company truck tray doesn't get started often and finds itself dead many times per year. We have a jump box that is rated for 100 amps, instant start, that can't start the truck. With this charger connected, in just about 15 minutes, it starts right up. I know that is not what it's intended use is but it comes in handy just so you know. When we trickle charge it, the truck is always good to go too. You will like this purchase!

Went to use the product for the first time this year on my lawnmower battery. It turns on, but it doesn’t show the battery. I tested it many times with thedifferent connectors it comes with and I can’t get it to work.

I had an ole noisy one that I replaced, still works just noisy as heck. Since Covid I don’t drive everyday. During cold months you can tell battery is way down. I attached the ring connectors and charge as needed. My only complaint would be the manual needs to do a better job of describing the lights/function. When connected correctly and charging you only see the “ON” light. Once charged and maintaining yo see the green light. Other than that I like it. I don’t need gauges and fancy lights, just need the unit to work quietly.

Just on or off. No other information. So I assume it’s working. Car starts without any hesitation after sitting for many days in the dead of winter.
