Excellent Quality and Recommended by Vet
When we got our new puppy she developed a UTI with blood and struvite crystals (too numerous to count) in her urine and her PH was off the charts. We did a course of anti- biotics and used un-fragranced baby wipes after she peed. After 2 weeks we took her back in for another urinalysis, there were no changes. We did a course of Doxycycline and went back in 2 weeks, the blood was gone but the crystals were still there and still too numerous to count and the PH was still high. Our vet tech immediately called Science diet to see if there was a puppy prescription formula which there was not, but said to switch her over to this formula. The breeder had had her on "Taste of the Wild" Pacific Stream puppy formula (which we continued with) I'm aware it's a great food but it wasn't helping her issues even with the medication. Once we switched her over to this and got the next urinalysis she was finally clear and has not had any more issues to date. We discussed going with Nutro Max because our other 2 girls had done exceptional on it, but I really don't want to tempt fate. I feel this product saved our baby a possible surgery or worse :/Our pup's next bag will be adult formula and I'll be sticking with this... She loves the taste, the kibbles are a good size and her stools are well formed and easy to pick up (trust me as gross as it is to mention, it is important to know she is processing her food well).

Thriving large breed puppy
I have a dog. he is a Dougue de Bordeaux and I originally had him on a kibble that the breeder suggested to me, however my puppy started having side effects from the kibble suggested, such as diarrhea, skin hives, and he was not interested to eat it anymore.I decided to try Hills Lamb and Rice formula. I didn't even have to slowly change my pups food, I just started feeding this to him, and he loved it!he would dance for supper time, his poops were so wonderful, and finally the normal doggy stools. He is thriving and growing wonderfully, it's balanced nutrition and doesn't grow him too fast, but he is thriving amazingly. My pup has Great energy, we love the food and so does my boy! Highly recommend it!

The only brand my dogs love!
I have 2 great pyrs and they love Hills! The pieces are bigger than other brands we've tried and the food smells amazing (can't speak for the taste haha). Their coats are nice and glossy, they've never been under or over weight and this is one they actually enjoy eating. When I've bought them other brands they turn around and won't eat unless they're really hungry but with Hill's they graze all day (we free feed). I go back and forth between the lamb and chicken flavor to spice it up a little bit. Overall 10/10 stars. I realize it's expensive but my dogs are so important that I'll happily pay for them to be happy and healthy and for me to not be worried about food recalls or anything like that. My dogs love it, my vet loves it, & I love it too!

Zorro is Happy
I changed our 3 month old pup to this large breed lamb puppy food after our vet advised that he be on a "large breed" food. He is a mix of Lab & German Shepherd. After reading all over the internet everything I could find about nutritional needs for him... and checking out Dog Food Advisor... this brand seemed the best for him. The switch was easy on him, no digestive ailments and we took our time introducing him to it.. began with just using the nuggets as 'treats', which he took to quickly. There is a big difference in nugget size from these to his previous puppy foods- these are thicker and larger. I still break them up for him a bit... until he's a bit larger. I like the higher amounts of DHA, Omega 3 & 6 that this food provides for him, those were big selling points for me. All in all this seems to make him happy, he eats it well, though to be fair he likes everything ;) Will be sticking with this food throughout his puppy-hood as long as he continues to flourish.

PUPPY LOVES IT!
My puppy is pretty picky. We had an expensive, high-rating dog food for her before this one and she was uninterested. So we decided to research a little bit and look into different types of food and came across this one. As soon as we open it she perked up. It is aromatic and she showed interest right away. She loves this dog food and it does not cost an arm and a leg for a large bag. It also does not give her diarrhea and she has a sensitive stomach.

Great food for large breeds & Pyredoodles!
UPDATED to 5 stars because Seamus hadn't had any issues the entire time we were using it and I've not had another problem with a bag's seal. Once he turned 18mos we switched to the adult version of this food and are very happy with it as well.I was searching for a large breed food for my Pyredoodle puppy that has grains in it but no chicken, and a low calcium content with a good calcium to phosphorous ratio (large breed pups need less calcium than normal pups) and this is the ONLY food that fit the bill. Bonus: Seamus loves it. It does make him gassy but it seems to be leaving him satisfied enough that I can actually put all 5 cups in his bowl in the morning and he free feeds throughout the day, finishing an hour or two before bed. The prior food was the Wild type and it left him feeling starved no matter how much he had. Only 4 stars due to the gas and the bag not being properly glued; it had come apart at the bottom sometime before it arrived at my house. Amazon wouldn't send out a new bag but they did at least give me a refund which was nice. Highly recommend this food as grain free foods are usually not the cure for allergies (hot tip: cut out anything with legumes.. peas, peanut butter, pea flour, etc. They are a major cause of allergic reactions) and are now being known for causing heart problems.

Quality dog food at a great price--sadly recipe no longer available.
Loved this and bought for over a year. Sadly the puppy levels have been replaced with brown rice and that can be hard to digest for some puppies. We miss this flavor.
