Underwater Wide-Angle Conversion Lens X0.6 for DIVEVOLK Housing and Action Camera

I just traveled to the BVI and it was perfect for small and compact underwater photography options! This coupled with a Divevolk underwater camera/phone case, divelight attachment and lense attachments was exactly what I needed for a one week sailing excursion!

I would like to correct some misunderstandings expressed in other reviews. First, this is what is called a "wet" lens, which means it is designed to fit in front of the flat glass port on the sealed underwater housing, with water filling the space in between the lens and port. This works just fine as long as you make sure there are no air bubbles in that space, just water. The lens itself is sealed and it is extremely rare that any wet lens leaks internally unless damaged. And if it did so on the first dive, that would certainly be covered under the warranty. Second, this is a wide angle conversion lens, not a macro lens. It is generally not recommended to use a polycarbonate dome lens like this for macro, especially if the subject is on rock or coral, as it is very easy to bump the dome on a hard surface and scratch the lens. Yes, polycarbonate scratches more easily than glass, but glass dome lenses are much more expensive. And scratches in polycarbonate can be polished out, unlike glass. I think this lens performs well, if you understand how to use it correctly, and treat it carefully, and it is a very good value.

I’ve enjoyed the Divevolk for the most part… the handle (not shown) could be greatly be improved but works okay… this wide-angle conversion dome is some kind of hack… lousy results, not good for over/under as shown… contacted Divevolk and they wouldn’t accept the return… so it’s sitting on a table and not in my case… if you want one and don’t mind being out 150 what ever it cost then I wish you good luck…

For the high cost of these products it gets scratched easily and isn’t very durable.

I bought this wide lens for my trip and I am very happy with the outcome of the lens itself. I don’t need to be fidgeting with different settings and it’s set for wide angle photos / videos. I am able to capture the entire experience. It’s so easy to attach on to the clamp and with the red filter as well. Hands down , Divevolk has the best products!! I never go without the housing!

So disappointed. Used this lens for the first time and water leaked inside the lens space during my first dive with it. Lost the ability to take any pictures with my Divevolk Sea Touch Max. Absolute junk. Don’t waste your money. Obviously, Divevolk lacks serious quality control.

The lens was half full of water on the first dive. Ruined all photos of that dive. Depth was 80 ft max. The divevolk housing preformed great but this lens was a disappointment. Hopefully this was simply a faulty lens and divevolk will provide a replacement.......

Para buceo en aguas abiertas no me ha resultado práctica esta lente ya que no hay muchas líneas rectas en el fondo y por lo tanto tal deformidad no se aprecia. Además si la colocas sobre el filtro fuera del agua, has de desenroscar una vez sumergido ya que entra agua entre el filtro y la lente sin llegar a llenarse quedando mitad de agua y mitad de aire.
