Very good firefighters easy and clean to use

They start fires, retain their shape, and have a good burn time
These were required to light my pizza oven, and they recommended this composition over the ones that are hard and smooth, for food safety reasons. Now that daily papers are no longer available in rural areas, we don't have enough paper to start our fireplace. So these have moved from a nice to have to something closer to an essential. I cut them in half, or in thirds for the stove because there is other fuel present.

Great affordable fire starters
I use these and have for over a year as fire starters for fire pit and charcoal grill. They work great. They ignite and hold a flame for as long as I need to get fires going. They’re also a great value. I’ve made two repurchases and will buy again.

GREAT FIRE STARTERS
We had a big BBQ party using three Weber kettles. The directions say you only need one fire starter. Being a man, I used two; we probably should have followed the instructions! These are so much easier to use than newspaper or whatever. They burn clean. Be sure to give yourself plenty of lead time to get the briquettes hot. Once you remove the "chimney", carefully add more briquettes. Happy BBQing!!
