Nice quality
New to felting, so I am not sure that I would be able to speak to the quality of this felting pad. It is firm, soft and sturdy at the same time. Worked well for me. Liked the larger size, I don't think the smaller one would be useful for me.

best felting mat!!
I've been needle felting for a few years. This is the BEST mat that I've found so far, The fabric covered ones get fuzzy. The foam ones wear out quickly. Although I've only used this one for a few days, I am really impressed with the thickness and maneuverability of this pad. I can use it on my lap.I highly recommend this pad!

Holds up very well. I actually cut a felt piece to go over the top to make the pad last longer

Not sure how long it is going to last, but for now it feels excellent for felting, sturdy enough and comfortable. I would probably order a larger size , like 8 or 10 inches, so I am not limited to 6x6

Easier to use compared to foam blocks and I love the finger covers.

Hard pad. Easy to break needles.
Overall it's pretty nice, but it is very dense. I hadn't broken a needle in months on the styrofoam pads, but broke a few almost immediately on this thing. I'm thinking it's a learning curve, but also a bit harder than I prefer.
