Interfit INT278 42-Inch Translucent Reflector

I didn't even know anyone made small reflectors (12 inch) until I read about the use of one in a magazine article. Checked Amazon and sure enough their they were. I picked up this one and the gold/silver/white 12" and am very happy with both. They take up hardly any room in my bag and are perfect for close up and macro where you don't need to bring out (or carry) the large reflectors.

One of those silly little things that becomes really handy. It folds up small and is and lightweight, so never a bother to throw in my bag. A photo tool I now always bring with me.

I bought this translucent reflector basically on a whim because I thought it would somehow come in handy and it did. Folded it may be about 5" in diameter and a 1/2" thick, fits in the side pouch of may camera bag easily and it's large enough unfolded to provide enough diffusion for macro shots. It would be completely useless for anything else. It's just to small. Also if it weighs more than 2 or 3 oz I would be surprised. It beats out what I have been using which was a piece of card board with a rectangular cut out and a piece of old shower curtain taped to it. I could fold it into quarters and it worked well but I have made at least three of them. I think this product will last much longer. Anyway for ten bucks it a good buy. I may get the white solid reflector soon although this does reflect light fairly well.

I like it but have't had the opportunity to use it yet...I am sure it will do what I expect it to..

It is well constructed and it works like a champ. Even the bag is great, it has a loop on it so I can hang it on my C-stand while I'm using the reflector and I don't need to fight with it to get the reflector back in the bag. I've used this more than my "Five-in-one reflector" that I got years ago and I've only had this a few weeks, its just easier to deal with. I'm very very Happy with it. FYI I take product shots for the web and do videos for the web.

This thing is great. Really knocks down the hard lighting and harsh shadows. (See my images of Droopy.) The small size is perfect for field macro photography. For reference, the Droopy figurine is six-and-a-half inches tall and was shot with an electronic flash.So far, I've only played around with it indoors with flash, including one product shot for a work project. Can't wait till warmer weather and spring wildflowers arrive to test it in an outdoor, sunshine scenario. It should work just as well by placing the diffuser between the sun and the subject.

This is a good small diffuser/reflector... emphasis on small. If you need something to cover a large area, this isn't what you want. However, if you shoot a lot of very close macros and don't want to carry a bulkier unit, this is perfect. Haven't had it long enough to judge durability, but appears to be well constructed.

A most useful addition to a macro photographers bag of tools. Used with a bit of thought, it can add a lot to your images
