2 orders, 3 years, 6 filters, no problems
I've noticed several folks saying these either split and leaked or had problems with the gasket. From reviewing my Amazon orders, I just installed the 6th of these filters and haven't encountered a problem yet. I noticed when I installed today that the rubber gasket wasn't seated fully into the recess in the top of the filter. I'm pretty sure it would have seated as it was installed but I pushed it down out of habit. I replace these filters roughly every 6 months so this is 3 years with this brand of filter. It serves our ice maker/water dispenser on one refrigerator, which gets used frequently for glasses and bottles of water throughout the year. We empty the ice reservoir routinely throughout the summer to fill our coolers, so we're putting quite a few gallons of water through. Never had a problem with odd odors or flavors. I haven't tested the water to see how well it's filtering but I haven't had any reason to suspect the filter quality.

Seems to be ok, i was a little concerned that it did not seem to screw on as tight ias i would have thought but no leaks so should be good
