Great for protecting my maps
Fits my exploring maps just right. Heavier duty than expected. Ziplock closure is tight and should last for years.

Best Map Case Ever!!!
Best Map case in the market! Field tested and keeps everything dry. The size is fantastic and you can run paracord through the rings. I would recommend this to anyone that uses a map. You definitely pay for what you get and that's high quality and functionality.

Just right for protecting river trip guides
Nice and durable - heavy duty. Getting ziplock to close is a pain though - lick or spit helps.

Terrific addition to your backpacking gear
I like this map holder for its versatility in holding different size maps. Once sealed, it was very effective at keeping moisture out and protecting the maps. I originally used this on a 13K mountain ascent. Worked great. The only thing that can be tricky at times is sealing the top. It's not as easy as sealing a typical zip-loc kitchen bag, takes some doing to get it to seal.

The only option for SFAS
This map case size L is the only thing you should consider for sfas.

Misleading size
The quoted size (12 x 16) includes the webbing and unusable area due to the sealant. The actual size of map that can be fit is a little under 10.5 x 14.5 inch. It's annoying that I can't get my Fisher maps (22 .5 x 28.5 inch) in on a single fold.

Great map case
Love this map case, it hard at times to close the zip lock!

Works well for protecting paper maps and securing them for reference while paddling. The "ziploc" type enclosure is waterproof but can be a bit fussy to get properly closed though.

Very supple. Nice and clear. Purchased to use on my sailboat this summer. Big enough to use iPad with as well. I ordered a large and itโs just perfect. Go with a large size. D rings seem to be sturdy as well. Really tight seal as well

Very well constructed. Used it as a cover for maps & directions on a recent bike trip. Sealed very well & never had an issue with papers getting wet.

The case is supposed to be 38cm wide internally (enough to display 3 'panels'/folds of an Ordnance Survey Explorer or Landranger map) but, in fact, it is only 36cm wide. Consequently, it is possible to view only 2 map 'panels' per side with a lot of wasted space all around. Thus, I'll end up carrying a case considerably larger than necessary for no extra benefit. I'll probably send it back. Seems to be well made, however.

I donโt expect this to last long. Sticky plastic that is thin. Would return but I shredded the box opening it. Stuck with it. Way over priced. Go to the store and buy a legit map pouch.
