Does the job of blocking the direct sun out and still be able to see thru it at the same time. Easy to install but I wish they could offer a larger width size. We got the maximum width of 94" but needed one about 16" wider for our opening, thus we had to purchase some longer elastic cord to replace the short bungee tie down straps they give you.I feel it's a bit overpriced for what your getting but in hindsight I could have saved some money by ordering a shorter shade. We find that we don't need to lower it more than 6ft to achieve our sunblock.Good customer service...they email to confirm size, color, etc. before processing order. Takes a couple weeks till you receive item. All in all we are happy with product...we'll see how it holds up over time

Great custom sized outdoor blind to provide sun protection! I have a tiny house with lots of windows and needed extra sun protection for bedroom, this company provides great color selection (this one is their light grey and really pretty), they custom fit to your window/how you need to mount it, and super simple instructions to follow. Would be easier for 2 people to install but I did it myself, up & down the ladder a couple times!Haven’t tested it out in winter/rain yet but holding up well with hot summer days so far!

Installed these on a screened in porch that I had built. They went in exactly as described.Some things to note:1) If you are installing them inside a frame, the brackets attach from the top, not the sides, to allow for adjustment. Make sure your measurements are very accurate so the brackets sit flush with the sides. On one side, I measured 1/4" short.2) There will be a SLIGHT gap on the crank side. Not a big deal, but I didn't realize it at the time.Quality custom product for a great price.

These solar shades are just what we needed for our sunroom. The sun was in our eyes when we tried to read, so we really needed something to take away the glare. These shades are lovely. I chose the pale grey ones, inside mount. One photo shows all 3 of the shades side by side. Another is a close-up of the handle you use to open or close them. I bent one of them to show you and left the other one straight for the photo. A photo shows you how the handle attaches at the top. There is also a photo to show you the tie-downs for the blinds at the bottom. You will notice vertical bars in my photos. Those are tension rods that I put at 1/3 and 2/3 of the way down to hold the blinds steady because we live in a very windy area. Combined with the tie-down, it is a system that works very well.

These blinds are excellent!! I highly recommend this product for quality and customer service. I originally purchased two beige blinds to block sun exposure and maintain privacy between us and our neighbor. They worked so well that I decided to enclose the entire patio with these shades: I purchased 6 total beige shades 50% (est. (2) 81”W x 73”; (2) 55”W x 60” H; (2) 56”W x 80”H). I recently found that all shades work great as an outdoor projector backdrop which looks amazing at night.InstallationI installed these shades to the bottom of my deck which is about 10’ from the ground. I installed the mounting hardware first and the shades last as recommended. Equipment used included a ladder, leveling tool, power drill, etc. Four of the areas I wanted to conceal the shades, so I installed in the interior using combination of bolt/nut and L shaped brackets. Two of the shades (81”W) were top mount which should have been simple but I measured one too close to exact (Slightly too wide is bad between columns!!) but luckily I was able to shave the corner of one blind using a box cutter to slide the shade into the fixed mounts. Lastly, I used sticky tack as a spacer for the widths that were not exact.FunctionalityEach shade comes with a hand crank tool. This would have worked easily but 4 were slightly too high (10’ plus) and we as a family are slightly vertically challenged. At first, I purchased a step stool which worked fine. Ultimately, because I had six shades, I looked for auto crank option and purchased the manual awning conversion kit 42” ($79.99 on amazon). This conversion kit uses a power drill to automatically turn the crank. Two issues I had with the conversion kit was that it was not long enough and second more importantly, the hook is much larger than the crank tool hook supplied with these shades (Mounts are fairly flush and do not have a large space for crank hook). To solve this problem, I duct taped the crank tool supplied with this conversion kit and it works perfectly (Pic attached).Wind and BeesKeep in mind where you’re mounting the shades. Two shades I allowed to rest freely without using the bottom hooks to support due to air flow and limited areas of support. One shade attracted a bee that began chewing through the bottom of one of the shades (easy fix).Please don’t let the details of my review deter you from purchasing. Again, I highly recommend these shades. I write very limited reviews because over time problems occur with any product but so far so good!! Hope this helps!

We ordered four semi-opaque blinds for our west-facing porch and this company didn’t disappoint. The blinds are excellent quality, the installation was easy, and the company stayed in touch throughout the ordering process to ensure we got the exact fit we needed. We can now enjoy our late afternoons/evenings without frying or squinting from the glare. Top notch experience overall, and I’m not a frequent review writer.

I'm using this shade on our patio to block the afternoon sun when we're sitting out there. I wanted something that would be unobtrusive, yet easy to use. This shade does it all! I usually only put it about half-way down to block the sun, but when it's all the way down, we discovered it could be used as a projection screen. We're planning on using it this Sunday for our Super Bowl Party! It rolls up easily but does take quite a few turns to get it up or down all the way.My husband installed it in less than an hour with only me helping to hold it and didn't run into any problems. Since we weren't putting it in a window, I can't attest to the sizing of it. We found out that once it is up, it snaps into the bracket. However, my husband was able to put a screwdriver up into the bracket to release the lever that was holding it so he could take it down and adjust the bracket before final installation.
