Just as good as Patagonia!
I was looking to replace my Patagonia down jacket that was a year and a half old and got some tears on it and feathers coming out, but those ones are $ 279 and almost never go on sale! so I decided to give this one a chance when I saw it on sale for like 90 to a hundred bucks here on Amazon. Looks great and almost as warm, snug and comfortable as the Patagonia, at one third the price

Very good coat for the price
I don’t like wearing big, bulky, heavy jackets. This one is super light, so you don’t realize you’re wearing it. It folds up into nothing and packs in a bag without any appreciable weight. You’re probably not going to survive in the arctic with this, but for a city dweller, this coat kept me very warm all winter. When it was really cold out I added a sweater or a hoodie and was perfectly comfortable. This coat was cut well to accommodate a heavy sweater/hoodie without making it feel too tight or look too small on me, or looking too big on me if I wore just a thinner shirt. As far as the water resistance goes, I was caught in a light shower (not a downpour) and remained dry. The down did not loose it’s loft, just as advertised, so I remained warm. Not sure how well this coat would hold up in a downpour as the outer shell is thin (down coats are notoriously bad in very wet weather; except for very high end, such as Patagonia).Overall, this is a very good coat for the money I paid on amazon ($79) and I would definitely buy it again.

A fine light weight jacket
I'm delighted to have such a good looking lightweight jacket that keeps me warm and feels great. I enjoy it every time I put it on, feeling it's fluffiness. So the jacket I would give four stars to but overall I give the experience three stars because communication with Eddie Bauer is so very difficult.A friend of mine and got a jacket that's almost identical but the finish isn't as good. He paid only $19 for it on sale at Targets. I could hardly believe it. I thought he said 90 but he said 19. And the jacket has a couple of features that the Eddie Bauer jacket should have : a beard guard and a stronger loop. The loop on the cheaper jacket is terrific, one you've probably never seen on any other jacket, it's so strong. The Eddie Bauer loop is flimsy and disappointing. I like the fit of the jacket because it's snug and fits snugly around the hips so when can't get in easily. I'm going to use the jacket as a liner for a heavier coat in the bitter cold because this jacket won't be agood enough around 20° and below. Above that you may be able to get by with a heavy sweater and so on but below that I wouldn't trust it.

Very pleased with this as my first down jacket
This is my first 'puffy' down jacket and I have been very pleased with it overall. I live in Arizona so most people would be surprised to think we would even need a down jacket here, but this is really great for the cool mornings and evening walks around the community. It packs down really small and even comes with a small bag for storing it, which comes in handy if you want to throw this jacket in a messenger bag or small backpack. I love the feel of the jacket overall - it feels like you're being hugged by a nice down sleeping bag all the time. its amazing that its not TOO hot though either - it really seems to breath well. There are times when I've worn it around my office at work without even recalling that I was still wearing it - but its just that comfortable overall. As a camper, I also bring this on car camping type trips for lounging around in the evenings and at meals. Considering that the outer material is very thin I'm hesitant to wear it hiking or backpacking because I'm afraid it would easily rip. I also avoid wearing it around a campfire as a small tinder would easily burn a hole in the jacket and I don't want to risk it getting ruined like that. Great jacket from a trusted vendor!

Good piece of gear.
I bought this to put through it’s paces doing outdoor activities. I usually try to take things up a notch or two, so I need gear that I can count on. This jacket has been nice addition to my outdoor gear. Worn on its own, or even better, under a shell, and this jacket is pretty warm. I even wore it fat biking this winter in the rain, and the dwr coating performed admirably. I got this at a nice discount, so I’m especially pleased. I may purchase more Eddie Bauer gear in the future. I definitely recommend this jacket if you want a down jacket but like me, aren’t willing to spend hundreds of dollars. I’m not trying to climb K2. lol

Exactly what I was looking for!
I am from Wisconsin so Spring weather here is kind of a crap shoot. I wanted something that would keep me somewhat warm on the colder days, but light enough for them pre-summer spring days. Talking from 32 degrees to the 64 degree temperature swings we may see around here. This jacket lives up to the job! Was DEVASTATED when somehow (ok, I am a klutz) ripped the sleeve. Good thing there are color matched patch kits out there! YES, it is a down jacket and you will see feathers come out time to time. YES, there may be some stray stitching that shows up (I haven't seen any). Come on! They don't custom/hand make each one, jeez! Size wise, I am a bigger dude (5'11" and 255 lbs) but the 2XL fits perfectly and quite slimming I may add. I have never looked so good in a jacket! Give this jacket a Two Thumbs up! Seen some review where they may have gotten it cheaper but thinking the price I paid was spot on. Thank you for listening!

Ligera pero abrigadora
Es una chamarra bonita que es muy ligera pero abrigadora, la puedes llevar a caminatas y guardar fácilmente porque no es bultosa, también la puedes usar debajo otra chamarra para clima extremo.
