I have put off getting and OBD reader forever, relying on places like AutoZone to do it for me. So glad I finally got this tool. It helped me read/diagnose/clear a code so easily, and provides a wealth of features. Definitely worth the relatively low cost, and I am glad I purchased it.

I only wish that it had better instructions with it (I'm old school and like paper). Otherwise the product worked great. For the money it is a good value. I was able to check the batteries on my vehicles and to clear a code on my truck after I did the repair. Most of the procedures are self explanatory.

This worked on every vehicle I own including a boat. My boat battery is on its third season and this tester reminded me that I should replace it.The tester can diagnose batteries whether they are in a vehicle or not. It gives you specific things like battery internal resistance, CCA capacity left, voltage, as well as a graph that tells you when to replace.I'd rather know now than on the boat ramp with a weak battery.The batteries in my car tested good, which is reassuring because cold weather is coming.The menu prompts a few things like turn the headlights on for about 10 sec, then it checks the battery.I found the menus and navigation pretty easy. It's not a touch screen, but the arrows are easy to use.Another cool feature is the waveform recording feature. You can watch the voltage drop when the headlights are turned on for instance.You can also diagnose the battery when the engine is cranking. Smart.Before you take a winter trip, I recommend this device to make sure you're battery won't leave you stranded.

Not the most high tech equipment but it is accurate and is good value for the price. Reads codes, erases codes, and gives you lots of extra info like temperature, RPM, etc.. But if you're trying to do sophisticated mechanical work, this is not that one. This is for the guy who wants quick info so he can go into the auto shop with some basic knowledge.

Must have for any mechanic.

Design is nice and slick. Great to keep in a vehicle, at least due to its size as for the accuracy. I tested on some vehicles with new batteries and it said recharge or replace. Then I tested a 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis with a 7 year old battery that has been jump started 4 times. Tested the battery and said it was 98% good health and 76% state of charge. Not happy with this unit! Giving it a one star as far as design but doesn't matter how it looks if it doesn't operate as it should

I think this code reader works well but here is my problem. The Chinese cant figure out how to write a decent instruction manual and there aren't many good YouTube videos to fill in the blanks for this product. If you are well versed in the use of these types of tools then I say buy this one. If you are learning I will tell you the learning curve is steep when the instruction source sucks. I know I will work through it but it will take a while to figure out all the features of this unit. Thanks China :(

It does what it's supposed to do and I like the battery tester also.

Mi piace per la facilità d'uso e per la completezza dei test che fa sulla batteria sia in fase di montaggio sia una volta montata sulla vettura. Test molto attendibili e sicuri. In caso di test sui camion fare molta attenzione alla tensione si alimentazione che è di 24 volt non di 12, anche se per un collegamento errato a me non si è bruciato comunque fare attenzione alla tensione di alimentazione che è di 12 fino a 18 volt e non di 24. Sono molto soddisfatto. Un attrezzo da avere sempre a portata di mano in auto oppure in officina.

Works on my VE Commodore and tried it on a few other cars and already paid for itself by not having to go to my mechanic for a simple fix.

I'm only providing 4-stars for this review because it's not totally tested. I will update this review more as I use it more in-depth on a later date. Here's my first impression:March 7, 2021 - Initial unboxing and quick use:------------------------------------------------------- - the cable and clamps were pretty good quality - the unit seems to be light and feels kind of cheap. I wished it had better quality plastic or a rubber sleeve. - the package came with USB 2.0 with Type A/Mini interface and a fairly nice instruction booklet. - Tested my dying battery - reading was that it needs re-charging and re-test, but state of health is pretty much zero, state of charge was at 48% and resistance at 15.5mOhms - Tested my brand new battery from Costco - reading was good; SOH at 100%, SOC at 81%, 5.5mOhms. - Haven't tested the anything else - The unit's interface is really nice and simple, good instructions to get the battery test started, and the readings are nicely displayed, easy to read and very intuitive. - First impression is - I like this gadget. Should've bought something like this long ago and tested my batteries at least twice a year to make sure they're fine rather than having the car go dead out in the middle of nowhere.
