Nothing beats fresh shrooms, but, dried mushrooms come close as long as you follow the instructions. I am a 1st time user of dried shrooms and I now see that it is better to have these stocked, than driving from store to store looking for what I need. I purchased 2 8oz bags of the organic oyster shrooms, one was filled with nice meaty chunks (the other - not so much). Thankfully, FungusAmongUs has excellent customer service and fixed the error. After proper prep, the taste and aromas of the broth and mushrooms were quite close to a fresh product. This is an excellent buy and those that love to prepare meals should always have them on hand.
