Remembering the Kanji 2: A Systematic Guide to Reading Japanese Characters

I recommend this author for all learning in this language.
Great product, came in pristine condition and is easy to understand. I suggest purchasing all three plus the kana book for self-learning, but try to get a penpal to learn exactly how to speak so you don't make mistakes. One huge tip: learn their customs, their rules on behavior and conduct, and their culture if you plan to go there one day.

Good System
This second book contains the readings for the kanji learned in the first book. Very well set up.

The only method that works
This is the only method I know of that works. Having lived in Japan over 12 years at this point and watched others struggle with everything from rote memorization to gimmicks, I can confidently say that this is the only system that works.

Five Stars
Do not get this until you've mastered the first book in the series. Complete them in order.

Great explanation of concepts
My son loves this learning series. He is self-taught and finds this program very effective. Great explanation of concepts.

Cool teaching method
Very neat concept on learning Kanji, however, some of the author's references are hard to relate to. Also, having to come up with your own at the end is hard because you don't want to overlap with ones you've already used.

Very good but you must buy the first edition beforehand
this book is only useful if you have alteady used the first one as it builds on material learnt there. a fact that i was not fully aware of when purchasing the one.

Disappointed
The media could not be loaded. I was super excited to get the book but turned out to be disappointed. It’s a bit better than the first book as it has hiragana & katakana which Im glad I have already memorised the characters but it DOESN’T have any romaji that would help us new learners on how to read the kanji characters easily!!!! It’s totally a waste of money!!I appreciate the explanation of the meaning of the stroke but it’s totally STUPID that the auther didn’t include romaji on how to say those characters to help beginners such me to learn them easier. 😤😤😤

just use the first book and move on to native material
this book is kind of over kill. i used it for about a day before i realized its not an effective tool for me. its more a reference book than a book you will go through from start to finish like the first volume. i highly recommend the first volume

Para el estudiante de japonés desesperado.
Todavia no sé si es posible aprender los kanji pero este es un buen método alternativo al tradicional. Buena suerte.
