We recently found out we have gabbro formations on our property and after drilling and drilling, we’re dealing with HUGE underground formations with no possibility to just dig out and remove…… Gabbro is made from iron and magnesium and it is comically hard - where limestone and shale simply split and crack, gabbro will bend and MELT steel - you’re crazy even trying hand tools as it’ll spark and slip off - mocking you as you exhaust yourself. But NOT with this tank - once you load in that “harpoon” of an SDS Max chisel, it’s game over! On full out, this thing literally sounds like a jackhammer, simply pulverizing where my SDS plus was literally mushrooming itself or turning blue for being “re-annealed” from excess heat even with cutting oil (it was just burning it up I guess) The battery also lasted longer than I thought, and nice it’s included - those are expensive by themselves! If you have property that has a lot of rock formations that cause issues, this is worth the investment vs. renting tools or contracting. The best tool I ever purchased it’s amazing

I love this tool. I had a bunch of concrete to break up and even some rocks, and this does a great job. It's heavy, and you get a good workout using it, but similar line powered tools I've are about the same.

For being battery powered, It has pretty good power. It's hard enough for what we use it for...

I ordered this and when I received it . The date stamp on it was 2022. The tool has a three year manufacturer warranty on it from the manufacturer. So basically you have a four month warranty on the tool. I sent CPO outlet a message and they told me that the warranty starts from the time of purchase but this has not been the case when I have had other dewalt tools I tried to get warranty issues covered. So buyer beware of CPO outlet. They send out old stock tools that’s been sitting in a warehouse for three years

I'm pretty much a milwaukee guy. However after reading the reviews. I chose this rather than the milwaukee brand. This is seriously one of my better life decisions. 😆 My boss bought the milwaukee version and more often than not, I'll turn around and my chipping hammer is gone. I automatically know that my boss is using it. There really is no comparison between my dewalt and his milwaukee. This dewalt is a beast!!!! If I could add 5 more stars I would.
