The One They Couldnโt Escape
Anti-Houdini swaddle!!! This was hands down the swaddle that worked best for our twin chicken nuggets. They managed to escape pretty much every other swaddle we tried, but this one actually kept them snug and secure. The only thing I wish it had was a Velcro closure at the very end to help keep everything in place once theyโre fully wrapped. Other than that, this has been our favorite!

Not a miracle, but recommend anyway
I'm not going to lie and say this miraculously made my fussy sleeper (5 weeks) sleep more than 2 hours at a time (it didn't) but it did seem to affect his sleep quality. He's waking more efficiently to eat. He grunts and makes less noises in his sleep. He startles less. Do i still have to hold him all night (in shifts)? Yeah.... But I do recommend this product. Our pediatrician recommended it thinking he might be fussing more due to his hands-up swaddle (lovetodream) being too close to his lips and this making him wake "hungry" more frequently even he wasn't. I think she was right. Babe fussed more in the swaddle initially but gets very calm now when he's inside. After 2 nights he just "knows the drill" and waits either for a breast or a binky without fuss.

Woombie vs. Miracle Blanket
My son loves the Woombie. My daughter loved the Miracle Blanket. As a parent that has now used two of the most popular baby swaddlers, here are some pros and cons of each. Woombie - We used the Houdini woombie in pool party and in vanilla crea (have one of each) and one Original Woombie in Raspberry color. Pros: Allows the hands to be across the chest or up near the face - this was the main reason my son hated the Miracle Blanket and loves the Woombie Snug - I haven't really noticed a difference between the Original and the Houdini versions although the Houdini is supposed to be a slightly firmer swaddle. Both are snug. Nice colors - All the colors we have are nice. None have faded or bled in the wash. Cons: The Big Baby and Mega Baby sizes are too long. There is so much excess fabric that hangs down. My two year old can still fit in the Mega Baby size, lengthwise, because it is sooo long. Does stretch out after many uses. You can fix that by tossing in the washer and then tumble dry. (It says line dry but who has time for that? We've always tumbled dry with no problems.) Fingers can creep out the top and scratch the face. He's never managed to get anything more than his fingers out, but just a warning that it can happen. **Biggest con - You have to keep buying bigger sizes if you want to continue to use it as they grow. If you buy two in each size (so that you'll always have one handy if one is in the wash), then that's over one hundred dollars in swaddle blankets. Yikes!!** Hard to use if you need to put baby someplace with straps - like a bouncy seat or swing Terrible return policy from Woombie - only unused and unwashed are accepted for returns with a 15% restocking fee!! The Miracle Blanket - We have two - one in pink and one in blue. We used these with my daughter until she rolled over from back to front, at about eight/nine months old. Pros: Fits any size baby. It's a super long wrap, so there's no way that your baby will ever be too big to fit width-wise. Lengthwise our daughter outgrew it around four months. Then we just stopped putting her feet in the pouch but keep wrapping her arms. Still worked great!! Also if you leave the feet out, it's easy to put the baby someplace with a three point harness like a bouncy seat or a swing. Can only purchase two and lasts until you need to stop swaddling! Colors are nice - never faded or bled in wash. **Best pro** - Miracle Blanket has amazing customer service. One of ours got a hole in it after three months of use. Miracle Blanket replaced it free of charge, not even charging for shipping the new blanket or return shipping. Doesn't matter where you bought it - they will replace it for you and fix the old one and donate to kids in need. AWESOME! Cons: Learning curve - Babysitters and grandma had an extremely hard time learning how to use this. The first time, despite a demonstration before we left, our babysitter put it on our daughter upside down so that the foot pouch was like a little hood! The blanket has a weakness where the foot pouch is sewn onto the main piece. After much use, it develops a hole from being pulled on by baby kicking or moving the feet in and out of the pouch. Both our blankets developed one. We had Miracle Blanket replace one, but decided to just keep going with the other one. The hole never got bigger that the radius of a straw but it's definitely a weakness in the fabric. Hands are down by the side - This was what our daughter liked, but our son hated it, so I guess it could be a pro or a con. Overall, I would recommend either. You just have to think about what your baby likes. I think the Miracle Blanket is better for a baby who really needs a firm swaddle with very little movement. The Woombie is for babies who like their hands up. Our daughter, who required a firm swaddle, just couldn't handle the amount of movement the Woombie allowed. She needed much more restriction. Our son prefers the freedom to arrange his arms around his chest or thighs as he likes. If you want to try one, start with the Miracle Blanket first since their return policy is better. If Woombie would change theirs, I would equally recommend them.

A product that lives up to its name!
I love the Miracle Blanket! It definitely lives up to its name! As an infant caretaker, I have used them with many children. I now purchased one for my own son, and soon bought more colors! We had multiple types of swaddles--blankets, velcro styles, etc.--and this is the only one that worked for us. It keeps the baby's arms at his sides, compared to most which wrap the arms on his chest. This makes it harder for him to break out and scrunch the fabric by his face (as happened with other swaddles as he tried to bring his hands to his mouth). He is just now, around 4 months, getting a little too long for it, to where he can scrunch it with his arms. Leaving his arms at his aides also stops him from trying to roll, which was possible in some others (note: babies who can roll over should not be swaddles; my son rolled from back to side the day we came home from the hospital and was closely monitored which sleeping). I appreciate that while it ends up putting several layers around baby, it is lightweight, breathable cotton. On hot nights, I only used a short sleeve onesie underneath to prevent overheating. I wish there was a way to secure the end piece of fabric as it always scared me a little to have a loose piece hanging around, but it never got near his face. There is definitely a learning curve in trying to get it positioned and tightened perfectly for your baby. We wrapped it slightly differently at different times based on his needs (e.g wrapping it higher or lower, leaving his legs out, etc.). I recommend these to everyone I know! They are definitely the best swaddle on the market. My baby fought getting in them for a little while, but they calm him so well, and now just the routine of wrapping him in starts to calm him! If you need a miracle to help your baby sleep better, this is it!

Worked great once she gained weight
My daughter sleeps well in this and itโs easy-ish and quiet. However it isnโt 100%. When she was first born (6.3 lbs), she escaped frequently. Her weight didnโt keep the arm flaps down. Now that sheโs bigger, she has to work harder to get out, which she usually doesnโt bother with unless sheโs hungry or itโs morning so she must like it. At 12 weeks and 10+ pounds, it's getting a little small. The only concern I had was that early on, it didn't seem warm enough for her feet so I made sure to dress her in a footed sleeper under it. Update: at 4.5 months, it's technically too short, but she still likes it. I've started wrapping her with arms out to transition and she still sleeps well usually -- she now has a sleep gown under it with the mitten cuffs. If she's particularly fussy, I'll wrap her arms again, but it's rare. We also have a HALO sleep sack, which I use if this gets dirty, but she likes this Miracle Blanket swaddle more and it's easier to use. I think this will make a great transition to a regular baby blanket once she completely outgrows it.

Essential for good newborn (and parent!) sleep
Disclaimer - I'm an Amazon employee, but in the Automotive parts store. My job has nothing to do with this product, and I purchased, have used, and am reviewing this as a (hopefully unbiased) customer, not an employee. I am the world's worst swaddler. I get the theory, and can put together a credible swaddle on a doll, but I have never been able to make a swaddle with a conventional blanket that lasts more than five minutes on an actual baby. Our son (our second child) was very strong right from the beginning and had a strong startle reflex. As a result he was having a lot of trouble sleeping, which of course led to *us* having a lot of trouble sleeping. The only solution we had was a velcro-based blanket, which worked okay but wasn't completely reliable, was rough to the skin, and very loud. The reviews pointed me here, and I bought despite what felt like a really high price for a simple blanket. Opening up the blanket also led to blank faces of confusion. The blanket isn't even remotely symmetrical, and there are confusing arrays of flaps and pouches all over that require some puzzling over the instructions to understand. But once we figured out it ... holy cow. You put the baby's legs in the pouch, thread each arm flap over the arm and below the back, and then loop the extra-long flap around and around, and the end result was that our newborn was cinched up tight. The difference was immediate; he was immediately drowsy and seemed relieved that he was no longer startling himself awake, and the swaddle actually held overnight, through multiple feedings. We've even started using it on his arms only when we put him into the swing, to prevent his arms from annoying him and waking him up. This thing is actually a miracle, and whoever invented this ungainly series of flaps and pouches deserves a Nobel prize. We quickly ordered another so that come what may, we have one clean. These aren't cheap, but frankly when both you and your baby are exhausted and you're desperate to help him sleep, what price sanity? Honestly, I'm petrified of what will happen when he outgrows this.

Then you're left with your adorable burrito baby
Overview: The Miracle Blanket takes the skill out of using a muslin-type swaddle blankets and separates itself from all of the other swaddlers by having the ability to pin the baby's arms to the sides, making it much more difficult to escape! You use the swaddle by tucking the arm flaps underneath the baby's back (which does require lifting them up as in a diaper change), then putting their feet in the foot pocket, pulling the (baby's) left side of the swaddle tight and then tucking it under their right arm, and then wrapping the outermost layer around and under the baby tightly. Then you're left with your adorable burrito baby! When I first started using this, it seemed cumbersome, and it is more difficult than a SwaddleMe velcro swaddler or a Woombie, but this is why it works. When your baby is sleeping many more hours at a time you will know it's worth the extra 30 seconds to get them properly swaddled. There have been 2 times so far when my 14lb, 9 week old has gotten his right arm out, and tucking the arm flap more under his body has fixed that. He has also got his feet out, so I put him lower in the swaddler and so far that is working. He may be outgrowing it soon, though. Pros: It works the best of the many swaddlers that I have tried for keeping baby swaddled (compared to Woombie, SwaddleMe, Aden+Anais, SwaddleUp and SwaddleMe Pods). -It is possible to untuck the legs and do a diaper change without a complete un-swaddle. Cons: Legs will probably eventually come out. My son is 23 1/4 inches and he's probably reaching the last few weeks of being able to use this. I wish they had a bigger size. Would I recommend: Yes! This is the only swaddler you will need!

A Miracle Blanket for sure!
Summary: A great summer weight swaddle blanket. Lengthened my 6 week old's night sleep by 2 hours. I have a large, breast fed, very active, very strong infant who is great at breaking free and often wiggles her legs out of the blanket when she wakes up, but during her sleep seems very comfortable. I bought the Miracle blanket looking for a lightweight summertime swaddle for my June baby. She was 9 lbs when born and was breaking out of our blankets (my 3rd child, so I know how to wrap a swaddle). I was suspicious of the Miracle Blanket working, but after the second or third night I saw our longest stretch at night go from 4 hours to 6 hours. We have been using it for a little over a week and she has had 3 six hour night sleeps at only 7 weeks old. Granted she is a bigger baby and seems to generally be a good sleeper. She will work her legs out of it a lot and work her arms out occasionally, but rarely when I swaddle her (I always make sure she can move her arms a bit and it isn't super tight on them). There is definitely a difference on the nights we sleep in another sleep sack as she wakes up every 2-3 hours and sometimes has to end up sleeping on me. It is a nice light blanket for summer sleeping. We live in California and in the middle of the night the room gets pretty cool, so I wrap another double layer muslin blanket just around her lower body 1 time to make her extra cozy and she sleeps really well. I think some of her early morning waking was due to being cold. My daughter is a 100% breast fed baby. I'm very surprised that we are getting such long stretches from her. I attribute this partly to her temperment, size, but also the blanket does seem to make her comfortable. She is a very strong and active infant and this blanket works for her. Give it a few days and be consistent about putting them to sleep in it. After 3 days or so, she stops crying after I get her arms swaddled down and almost falls asleep in the wrap phase.

Didn't work for my baby
Bought this when my baby was around 8 weeks olds and she did not like it, was up every hour the two nights I had her in this. Went back to love to dream swaddle. However, if I had been using this from birth rather than from 8 weeks maybe she would have liked it.

Perfect for Houdini babies
Canโt rave enough about this swaddle for our baby. I bought different models including Love To Dream but our baby kept waking herself up with arms up. This has done a good job at keeping her arms alongside her body and settling her. Just a note to ensure the hips can move freely and arenโt wrapped tight to avoid hip dysplasia. The swaddle requires some getting used to but then is easy to fold after a while.

Veramente ottimo!
Ottimo prodotto. Ci avevo provato con altri modelli, ed il mio bimbo riusciva sempre a liberarsi. Con questo, rimane bello avvolto tutta la notte e, secondo me, dorme piรน sereno.
