I purchased the set of jar opener and bottle opener in gray and teal. This was an impulse buy, but well worth every penny. I am young for arthritis (50ish) yet I have had issues with my joints, especially my fingers, since contracting chronic Lyme disease. Grasping things is very difficult with either hand, and jar lids are impossible for me at times. The jar device is my new best friend in the kitchen! This sturdy and simple device has been effective for various sizes of vessels with screw lids from a soda bottle to an extra large pickle jar. The silicone inner part provides plenty of friction for grip, and the simple squeeze design of the handle is comfortable to grasp. I hand washed it easily, but it doesn’t seem to splash contents when I open jars. The compact size fits nicely in my utensil drawer, but the neutral colors are pleasing and could easily be left in a countertop. I have only used the bottle opener once, but it is manufactured the same as the jar opener. It seems sturdy and is compact. This is a great, simple, practical and not break the bank idea for a gift. I highly recommend this product.

The jar opener is so practical; I use it frequently and works perfectly. Arthritis in my hands have made opening lids difficult plus I have to interrupt my husband to open lids which is irritating to both of us.The smaller bottle opener is a favorite, even more so than the jar opener. I have discovered it has multiple uses. Unscrewing the cap from essential oil refill bottles is so easy now; previously I grabbed a pair of pliers; I purchase two of the kits--one for my kitchen and one for our RV. The two openers are so easy to store; in fact, I may put the bottle opener in my vehicle. These will make ideal small gifts for friends.

I had another opener but I thought I would give this a try its ok nothing special in fact it is hard to use its hard to hold the jar with one hand & twist with the other hand but the smaller one worked well for bottled water

The photo shows the caps this appliance doesn’t work for, and they are the reason I purchased this tool and the reason only 3 stars. They are very sturdy tools, so I decided to keep them because they are inexpensive for what you get. The lid tool is quite large and takes some effort to figure out how to use it, probably because I have arthritic hands. It’s worth having.

I thought this was gif seniors like me with limited mobility due to arthritis in both hands. Well think again. Even Hercules can’t open anything with this useless gadget. Do not buy.
