Thumbs up and I recommend for discussion groups
Oh this is good. I grew up all over Oklahoma. I was born in humble Grand Praire, Texas in 1970. By the time I was 3 my family had moved to Tulsa, Bristow, Edmond, Jones, Davenport, Guthrie, Wellston and Midwest City. I lived in Okahoma almost my entire teen years and I never heard of this story. I am German, Irish, Cherokee and Choctaw. I feel a kinship in reading how the FBI started, and was hoping to get a feel for the OSBI, as that was the department that was sought out by the local police department to work my sister, niece and sister-in-law's murder cases in 1992 abd interviewed by Unsolved Mysteries. This highlighted version of this book is realky instrumental in helping someone determine if the full book will hold their interest without giving too much away. Informative and a great book to get if you are a reading circke leader, for discussion purposes of key points.

I learned quite a bit just from the summary
When I purchase a book summary, I do it for one of two reasons: 1. To further understand the material. 2. To get the gist of a novel without having to read it. In the case David Grann's Killers of the Flower Moon: Key Takeaways & Analysis, I wanted to know more about this nonfiction book that is popular with book clubs as we begin to make our choices for the new year. This summary was a great introduction to a complicated novel. The novel focuses on the Osage Murders in the early twenties and the FBI agent, Tom White, who solves the mystery. The story uncovers mass amounts of corruption and injustice. In a story that covers 24 murders over a four-year span, it is helpful to have a guide that clearly identifies the key players and plot points so you don’t lose track.I left the summary feeling like I had a better understanding of this historic murder case and the beginnings of the FBI. I can easily discuss details from the book with coworkers and friends just from this well-written summary.

incredible work
Eye-opening historical account, shocking; however this was a really good read. I had no idea that this was part of America’s untold history.

Well written, more brief than I needed
Anticipated more detail. The SUBJECT itself was way complicated, had to work to keep up with the moving parts. David Grann's book was a good read, Summary was a little brief for my needs.

Great as a Summary
With so many books out there, summaries are such a powerful idea. The author does a fantastic job here of breaking down the key elements, telling the reader what they need to know, without excessive text. The style is a welcome relief for me, as I've seen many lengthy summaries that seem to entirely miss the point. There is also an interesting section on key takeaways. That part is interesting even if you have read the actual book and a good way to make sure you don't miss anything important. To me, it seems like you could use the summary in a few ways. It's a good way to figure out whether you want to buy the book for yourself (the answer in my case is perhaps). It's also useful if you've read it already and want to understand some of the concepts and events better.

Greedy and Corrupt Killers
I usually don't like to read summaries because they tend to leave out too many details but I felt like this was a good recountal. I felt like it gave me a very good gist and understanding of the story. First, I must say I couldn't believe that it was based on a true story of greed and corruption. I also couldn't believe how high the death toll had risen before federal investigators became involved. I was appalled at how it seemed like the system was easily set-up to fail the Osage with the requirement of guardians based upon their blood percentage. The author provided a thorough analysis in easy to read language. He also highlighted key takeaways that an academic student would most likely need to remember. One of the facts that saddened me most was how there was evidence that there were more suspicious deaths but it was glossed over. With the info from the summary, I can tell that the Mr. Grann did an extensive amount of research to write the original book. I think I would have probably liked the original book but would have felt it was heart wrenchingly tragic

This title was a book selection for our book club. I didn't have time to fully sit down and read the actual book so I purchased this summary. It was perfect. It gave page numbers on some of the chapter summaries so you can reference it in the book. I knew exactly what was going on and could discuss in detail during our discussion.
