Does this measure capacitors in micro farads on a capacitor on the Air Conditioner?

No. Not a micro farad reading. However, you can still test it to see if the capacitor is good. With all wires taken off, simply put your leads on each side and hold for like 3-5 seconds. Then, switch your leads. If you get a very short reading and it goes away, your capacitor is fine. That's its only job. Stores energy . No need to buy a micro farad meter unless the print is gone and you want to know what micro Farad it is. Hope that helps.

Ncv setting returns a reading of ef. what is ef? why can i not get a kreading as shown in the video?

If you test with test wire, in FireWire recogniton,it will emit a quick beep. At Zero Line Recognition,it will not beep and show"EF".

Has anyone checked an air conditioner capacitor in micro farads with this & is it accurate?

I have checked capacitors with it both bad and good and it seems to be accurate.
