Great Fitting
I hesitated with my purchase after reading some reviews. So I held my breath and hit the love button. I am glad I did. Let me address the 2 major complaints.1) the threads are not standard. Well this is flat-out wrong. The threads are perfect per NPT (National Pipe Thread). It will NOT fit compression or flare fittings nor should it. Those threads are a different standard. So this is 1/4" NPT that will screw into a female NPT fitting. I used a 1/4" to 1/2" adapter so I can add a 1/2" black iron pipe. So when someone says "the threads are not to standard" Ask them, "what standard were you trying to use because any thread other than a NPT standard, it will not work"2) "The threads break when tightened too much". Well duh! That is what it is designed to do. This material is brass and thus it cannot take much torque nor should it. This fitting should be protected by a regulator that reduces the LP pressure down to 2 psi. Hell, with three wraps of the gas PVC tape (the yellow type NOT white type) prior to installation; this fitting can be attached using finger tight pressure (1.7 to 2.3 Nm). However, you want to use wrench and get the torque up to about 3~4 Nm. So anyone who says "the threads broke" ask them, "what torque did you tighten it to?"

Dimensions missing
The measurements for this were not listed, so it is just a guess. Well, I guessed wrong, so I can’t use it.

Has important internal positive stop valve
Hard to find adapter with the internal check valve, which doesn't allow gas flow until a male regulator fitting is inserted for use. Otherwise when tank or valve in supply line is turned on, gas would flow out freely. Used this fitting for supplying an exterior located portable generator that is supplied by LP gas from large residential tank.

Doesn't work on weber grills
As many others have found this will not work on Weber grills. I have a Genesis II that works great on a 20# tank. But when connected to house source using this connector it will not get enough fuel. The safety valve is recessed to deep for the Webers female connector to fully depress it to allow enough fuel. Same thing occurs on our fire pit. Waste of money so have to spend over twice as much (not counting what I paid for this paper weight) and buy one from NashFuel.
