My picky Scottie loves his Oinkies! These are the only chews he can’t demolish in 10 minutes and still be bored. You know how dogs are — they can tell what’s in a bag by the sound of it. My dog cannot resist the sound of the Oinkies bag siren’s song. He comes hauling into the kitchen and slides into the cabinet (never stops in time) when he hears the crackle of that bag. No other bag has the same effect. Then the Oinkies routine begins.He preforms every trick he knows without my asking before I can get one out of the bag. Once he has it, he parades it all around the house like it’s the holy grail before getting down to chewing business in his dedicated Oinkies spot. If the house was on fire he wouldn’t care — he is one with that Oinkie! Guaranteed for one hour of busy, blissed out dog. When he’s finished (he has to eat the whole thing as fast as he can in one sitting), he always makes a point of finding me wherever I am to thank me profusely, complete with extra snorts for emphasis. Then he passes out somewhere from exertion for a very long time. I’d eat them too if they made me that happy but it’s plenty fun just watching him loose his Scottie cool over one! My dog loves these. He is a power chewer, and this alternative to rawhide is the only one I have been able to find that will last longer than 5 minutes. He can get about an hour of power chewing out of this before it gets to small and I have to take it away. lazy chewing, He can get about a day or 2 out of each stick. They have a heavy smokey smell, that will stink up the area your dog is chewing in, but they don't stain.

I put four different types of chew toys on the floor and let my yellow lab choose. She picked these EVERY time. Bottom line: They are smoked pork skin instead of beef (better for digestion), tightly wrapped and baked hard. She chews up most brands in about one minute. But these take her 15 minutes or so to finish off, which is awesome.Also, it's a great deal. The 20-piece value pack is less than 50 cents per chew. Most are $1 plus per chew. WalMart carries them but often is sold out, but they are easy to get online.

My senior dog doesn't chew many things any more, but these are a favorite she can still handle!
