Fenix HT30R LEP Flashlight, 1640 Yards Ultra Long Throw, USB-C Rechargeable, with LumenTac Organizer

May the force be with you and if not, at least get this light, you won’t be sorry. First off I must say this isn’t a light at all. It’s a laser so please know the distinction. I have always been a flashlight guy and can never seem to get enough of them and another guy who has had tons of them and tried almost every company out there. There are lots of good ones, but I must say Fenix is at the top of my list for great quality and innovation, and this light is no exception. These particular LEP‘s fall in a category of their own for these reasons they do more than a typical LED. Let me try and give you some perspective here. After receiving this late, I went out that night to do a little of my own testing so think about this if you will, I took a stick of juicy fruit, chewing gum and put it in my mouth. No, I’m not a litter bug or anything, but you know the tiny little piece of aluminum foil that is inside the wrapper. I rolled it up into a tiny ball and dropped it on the ground. It was a dark mind you and I walked for approximately 1 mile after I had walked almost a mile, and I was up on a hilltop. I turned around and turned on this flashlight, and I was able to locate the tiny little ball of aluminum foil on the ground a mile away in a matter of seconds. Literally, I will say 2 to 3 seconds I found that little tiny piece of aluminum foil, a mile away with this flashlight, and after looking at its reflection for about 10 seconds, it left a little burning spot like I had been staring into the sun. I hope that conveys to you the kind of power that I’m talking about here. This is literally a beam of light where you can see an object clearly at 1 mile away. Talk about blown away not only that this flashlight could potentially save your life again let me elaborate. I was downtown in a major city, and my car was parked in a parking garage and it was very late at night by the time I got back to my vehicle. I was the only car in the entire parking garage as I was approaching my car, I saw another man coming towards me, and since I was the only car on the entire level, I couldn’t help but thanks he might not have good intentions for me as he started getting closer to me. I said hey buddy that’s close enough, but he still kept coming luckily for me I had this light and I turned it on and shined it at him and he was unable to take another step towards me because it was impossible to look up into this light. You can’t walk forward and you can’t chase someone when you can’t see where you’re going if you shine this lie at a person they immediately have no choice, except to shield their eyes and look down at the ground. I have already told you this light is good up to 1 mile think about that you could have a mile distance between you and someone before you took this light off of them. This is truly a powerful thing. I know that in this day and age, we are all looking for alternatives to guns and lethal weapon weapons around us in our families I can honestly say that this light can actually protect you and I truly hope that those who needs something like this. Read this review and get this amazing flashlight. After considering what this thing can do, the cost seems very cheap.

OK, so when I first found this light online, I did all of my homework and bought it on Amazon to save a few bucks. Worth it! The throw on this pinky-to-thumb-tip sized light is incredible. I will tell you that the beam is simply not something that you would use for repairing a vehicle, walking down the road or finding a friend in the dark. The strength of the light is absurdly powerful (it's a guy's dream flashlight!) and it reaches God-awful distances with the ease of a US Navy Battleship spotlight. It seems to have a beam width of about one to two feet at a distance of 30' - understand this is not an everyday flashlight folks. Everyday flashlights throw a 6-12' circle of light at a distance of 30'. This is perfect for spotting boats on the ocean, not for playing around outside at night. This has a laser component that removes it from the safety flashlight category and places it in the professional category where it could be used for search and rescue or military roles. Be mindful that the brightness of this light is dangerous.

Friend recommended for laser long-distance throw. A bit tricky to operate, sensitive twist to turn on. Excellent company and quality, 2 levels of power, no “normal” light setting. Great if you need detail light at distince up to almost a mile. Very expensive and specialized light.

Best flashlight out there that I have found

I find it very difficult to provide a rating and here is why.Pros: Very very very bright and projects the brightest beam of light I’ve ever seen come out of a flashlight for a very long distance. Construction is good and seems very durable.Cons and here is my dilemma; It is SO bright that it is useless to me! Whatever you are trying to light up you still can’t see cause it’s so bright that you are blinded by the light reflecting back at you. You end up seeing white dots for 10 minutes. It’s like looking directly at the sun. The photos I provided I wore sunglasses to take them.I would suggest only using this flashlight if you need to light something up that is very very far away from you. Such as if you are in a boat and looking for a buoy down river or in a helicopter searching for people. But as a daily normal use flashlight, this thing is useless. Forget about pointing it at the ground in front of you to see where you are walking cause you will be blinded for a half hour.Unfortunately I can’t return it since it works as described but I do feel like I wasted $200+.I’ll keep it in my go bag in case I need to signal the International Space Station for some reason.

Truly amazing long beam flashlight with a great build. It's a bit long though, and I'm not sure about the claimed 1640 yards range. Is it worth the high cost? I don't think so, but if you like flashlights like me, then this is a good addition to the collection.

This thing is awesome . Super bright tight focused beam and it very easily can be seen well over 1200meters. Kind of expensive , but I’d say it was worth it. I’m very happy with this LEP Flashlight.

Just got it today, and it wont come on or take a charge. I threw the included battery on a multimeter and zero voltage. This $300 flashlight has not cost $320 cause I'm buying another battery to test before I return it if this doesn't work. TERRIBLE for the money it should come with a working battery. Will update if this solves the problem and if the Manufacturer refunds my money for the battery or sends me a new battery.
