it was fine 3.5 ⭐️
Beau Grant is a brat who shows little regard for the feelings of others or the consequences of his actions. After spending months mad at his dad for owning a sex club Beau decides to take the kink quiz that very club offers in its app. Maggie is part owner of the club and has worked with Emerson Grant for years, choosing to stay single instead of indulging in the club activities like her coworkers. When she takes the same quiz as Beau, the results surprise both of them. Paired together anonymously they’ll have to decide if they want to explore their newly discovered kinks and more importantly if they’ll want to stay together once they realize they already know each other. If I had to rank this series it would go like this:Eyes on MePraise/ Mercy…Give Me MoreThis book wasn’t bad, which I know is not high praise but it also wasn’t the worst in the series in my opinion. I’d say the Grant men were pretty equal as far as keeping me entertained and wanting to continue the story. To be fair I read Praise a year ago and recently decided to finish the series so I might be more critical of Praise because I can barely remember it but I remember Charlie annoying me so I’m almost positive it wasn’t more than 4⭐️. I paused mid read to read another book that was over 600 pages that I finished in two days because it kept me more engaged. This one took me a little over a week because I just couldn’t be bother to care. However, I didn’t hate it the way I hated Give Me More. I actually hated Hunter as a character but I liked both Maggie and Beau so I felt more drawn to finish their story.I have no actual criticism to give other than I just didn’t feel invested or excited enough about the plot or characters to rate it any higher than a 3.5⭐️. It wasn’t bad or irritating it just wasn’t my favorite. Mid. I know mid is 2.5 but I save my 1 and 2 ⭐️ for like DNF or extremely close to DNFing and 3 is like mid. Since I couldn’t dock for writing or extremely bad or irritating characters I gave it a 3.5.

5 Yes, Ma'am Stars! 💛🖤
This series has been such a highlight of the year for me! As soon as I reached the end of Give Me More I could not contain my excitement for Mercy! With every teaser, My excitement kept growing and I started counting down the days. I had to dive back into the Salacious Players' Club world right away. I absolutely loved Mercy!I've been so curious about Maggie and to find out that her man was going to be Beau had me wanting to pick this book up even more!Maggie and Beau's journey hooked me and didn't let go! Through the app, Maggie is a domme and is matched with a sub. Little did she know it'd be her friend's son. These two and their story surprised me in the best of ways! The humanness that was shown by both Beau and Maggie got to me. Getting into their minds and uncovering their true selves was something so beautiful for me. There's no shying away from the tough and I appreciated the realness of it all so very much. Our ma'am Maggie and our Brat Beau got into my heart in various ways. From the trust to the off the charts heat all the way to the love, I won't forget their story.Sometimes people come into our lives and crack open our souls to shine in ways we'd never thought possible. Maggie and Beau's journey showed that and more in spades. My book loving heart was overjoyed to be back with my Salacious Players' Club crew once again! This series is hands down one of my all time favorites! There's something so beautiful to be found with every single installment. With Praise, Emerson and Charlie's story taught me what it means to be utterly appreciated and adored for who you are. We often forget that to have that be felt and shown to us means everything. With Eyes On Me, Garrett and Mia's story taught me what it means to be truly seen, truths, and all. We are all going through this battle called life, and instead of judgement you find nothing but understanding and love. With Give Me More, Hunter, Isabel, and Drake's story taught me what it means to fully embrace who you are and take chances, you never know where your heart and that path could lead you. With Mercy, Maggie and Beau's story taught me how to find myself. Isn't that what we all try to do? So we can one day look in the mirror and smile back at all you see, because you are worth it.I've never found a series that has helped me find pieces of myself along the way like this one has. Each book and each couple have touched my life and I will cherish that always. You see, my fellow book lovers, this series digs right down to the very soul and marrow and leaves it's mark. I so needed these books in my life and I am so grateful Ms.Cate wrote and shared them with us. She reminds us to never be ashamed of who you are, embrace yourself wholeheartedly, and be so dang proud. This is one of my favorite reads of the year! With Mercy, Ms.Cate has outdone herself again with this unputdownable and utterly fantastic read! She makes me blush like no one else with her writing. If you haven't picked up the Salacious Players' Club Series, change that asap! Trust me, this series will own you and your heart so completely! 💛🖤

An excellent challenge to toxic masculinity
Maggie and Beau: S & M, domme/sub, age gap (older woman), sex clubs, pegging, challenging ideas of masculinity, reformed lazy man. I really liked it. I’ve never read a story where the power balance was heavier toward the woman, and I really liked it. I like how they showed the more romantic meaning of submission. Didn’t think I’d grow to like Beau, but I did. There’s a trigger warning in the beginning of the book about how the story gets really dark, but I don’t think it was any darker than the other books in the series. If I had to rate them from least dark to darkest, it would be Emerson/Charlie, Maggie/Beau, Hunter/Isabel/Drake, and then Garrett/Mia.

Such a good boy!
Maggie is an assertive 30+ woman that put work above everything else. Her personal life is basically non existent and her backstory also had a lot of $lut shame.Beau... used to be a d!ck. And still is. But his aggressiveness in expressing himself It's the worse. He never accepted Emmerson's job, and his mom made him feel ashamed about it. This book brings us his redemption. These two vanilla-traumatized-curious people decides to finally use SPC app! And there this story begins.Maggie's reflexive toughts about being a woman in this world punched me in the guts. As a 30+ woman in leadership position myself I related to her in every way. And I can tell ya that it's hard. She compares herself with Emmerson and we can feel her pain, how the society is unfair to her/us.The discussion about toxic masculinity and how that prevent men to explore his submissive side is also so important! A lot of men apreciates dominant women. And Beau is one of them. And when these two meet in the sheets... that blowed my mind! Every single $mut scene was perfect. Maggie's dominant side is delicious to read and I don't know about you but I ABSOLUTELLY LOVE A BRAT BOY. And this boy in particular needed to learn some manners. Beau was begging for discipline. And when the places switched? THAT WAS PRICELESS.Well, I can write about this couple nine ways to sunday... so just read it!

What a masterpiece! Spectacular buildup with amazing character development. This is prolly my first female domme book but I’m very much impressed.

Mercy
Loved Beau's and Maggie's story. It really was a change of scenario to see Maggie being Dom and Beau being the sub, but a good change. Very nice to see how the app worked pairing people. <3

Maravilhoso
