The Letters of Saint Catherine of Siena

I always read a lot about the Saint i am going to write (paint) an Icon of before I paint. This was a good book to read for that purpose. You learn a lot about someone by the letters they write. This is a very good book for that purpose.

Each letter has an introduction by the author which is written in italics. The letters themselves are written normally and there are about 65 letters in the entire book (I could be wrong). I gave it a four star simply because I love St. Catherine's teachings. It probably deserves a 3.5 due to how hard it is to understand. There are many tips on spiritual perfection/advancement contained.

I yet the letters of Saint Catarine of Siene in my noviciate en monastery carmelite discalsed.Saint Catarine is one my favorite saint. Has increasingly my walking for the engaje whit Crist. I definitely recommend this letters!

Nice collection of genuine words. Feels like one is sharing the saints' company and living in another reality .

I love St Catherine of Siena. She is not only a great saint but I consider her to be both a spiritual mother and sister to me. I rank both her "Dialogue" and her Letters as two of my most favorite spiritual books besides the Bible, so profound and powerful but also reflecting such a sweet, pure soul. I don't think many people can read her writings and not fall in love with her.

The letters are so small you can read them. I can thread a neddle without wearing eyeglasses but this letters are so tiny you need a magnifying glass. Will use for campfire.
