Levi'sMen's 550 Relaxed Fit Jeans (Also Available in Big & Tall)

For the past 20 years of my life I've worn nothing but Levi jeans. I love the durability the quality of a good pair of quality jeans and my Levi's never disappointed me. That is until today. I bought a new pair of Levi's. I didn't need him so I didn't wear them for a while when I needed them I I'm package them and I found that the denim was very light. Not light in color, but light in weight. I even went online and did a little research and found that the weight of Levi's jeans denim has varied much from manufacturing center to manufacturing center for quite a few years. I guess I've been lucky until my current purchase because it seems like I always got them same quality jeans time and time again. This time I wore the jeans less than a week and the left rear pocket got caught on one of those cheap plastic stackable chairs. To my surprise, when I got home I found they tore a little. I was disappointed and that's when I did the research on the weight of the denim material that Levi's uses. The tear was tiny so I continued to use the jeans. Heck, I've lived for a whole year with a tiny tear in my jeans without it becoming a major problem. This tiny tear turned into a 4 inch rip making the jeans completely unwearable. I'm really disappointed in Levi's and I'm disappointed in the Amazon Seller for forwarding such low quality, and I would even say cheap jeans to their customers. To my fellow jean wearers, I would suggest verifying that the denim is a good sturdy weight before putting them on. And I would return any jeans, regardless of the Levi name, that didn't have that good sturdy feel of a good weight denim.

One of the few brands with 36x38 size jeans that fit me. Unfortunately the style today is more on the skinny jean side so they are tight around my legs but still loose enough to not be considered skinny jeans. I have big legs both thighs, quads, hammys, and calves as I am an athletic build guy.Quality is really good, these feel like they will last a long time and the wash is great. Just wish Levi's would have a baggy/looser version so I can get the perfect fit for me.

I recently purchased 2 pairs of these jeans. As I was taking them out of the delivery bag , I noticed that the pockets had some strange off color thread on them. I looked them over and it was a different color from the rest of the jeans. I looked at the 2nd pair and it also had these pockets. So I compared them to a pair I had in the closet and sure enough the pockets in closet were of normal thread color. I chose to keep them anyhow as I really needed some jeans to wear to work. But they are more baggy than the ones in the closet. I have tried to shrink them to no avail. I would not recommend these .

Everything fits pretty well except for the rise demension. They see a bit short in this area. Especially for a relaxed fit style of jeans. I expected a bit more room for my goodies. Hope you have better fittings.

Unfortunately due to medications I take, my size fluctuates and I had hoped that these jeans advertised as "loose fit" would be the same as "loose fit" is designed into other jeans and pants I have purchased from other makes, but apparently Levi's thinks "loose fit" means a slim look -as these were too tight across the thighs - and thus unwearable. Bummed me out because I thought that they would be true to size, and waist-wise these are also too small for the size I ordered by at least 2 sizes- so maybe they were mismarked?

Three pairs of supposedly the same size - one is almost too tight, one fits as expected, and the other is so big that it literally falls off me. Such poor quality on what used to be an American standard.

I'm a big guy with short legs. In this age of specialty online resellers, imagine my surprise when Amazon was my only choice for an old-fashioned brand of jeans. Until JCP hired that genius from apple as its CEO, I was buying their house brand, Arizona Jeans as great quality for a decent discount. Now they don't seem to carry larger mens sizes for that brand. Guess we're not important to them. So, these Levi's are properly cut and well-constructed in all aspects, and the material does seem to be good quality, but it is extremely thin. More like something you'd wear for looks in summertime when you were going to a country bar, and less like working jeans. Anyway, I gave them a 4 bc they do appear to be well-constructed, but we'll have to see how this material holds up in the real world. But I am set for the next summertime coumtry bar I go to.

Fits as expected. Material is nice and thick. Another pair I got a few weeks ago from a different merchant are ridiculously thin for denim. It took a while for these to ship from the merchant but they're worth the wait.

Way too baggy and way too long. Even with the pants pulled up as far as I can go, the slacks are dragging. Not happy at all
